        glad Sunny and family are safe.

        The wind and rain has been horrific, we have a tree down in our front yard.

        been watching the updates on tv, its now hitting NSW and Sydney,hope any of yous living there stay safe

              Glad you're reasonably safe Happs.

              I too have inches of rain shedding down on dead and burnt plants from the heatwave. How much of your garden did you lose Bridge?
              Guess we better get used to these weather fluctuations.

              Mr Rags off to Woolies to get stuff to make a sort of shepherds pie from left over haggis . Hope no Scots read this.

                  Febfast is no alcohol in February for a cause....not sure of the official cause but my happiness is my personal cause. That sounds selfish...

                    I did a lot of damage control so have only lost a few things through throwing shadecloth over everything.

                    That Febfast is abstinence from alcohol for the month. I just had a brain fart and thought it was no eating!! Wouldn't work here!!!

                        No no no, you just don't eat. Or you get down to 1 VS model per day -roasted now, no frying. And there is not much eating on those things...all skin & bones.

                          Erm...... The Dalai Lama himself espouses the pursuit of happiness as legitimate (at least) holy (at best)

                          It's not a selfish pursuit at all.

                          As a matter of fact, one of my many aunts said to me at a very young age: 'Bridget, in order to make other folk happy, you must first make yourself happy'

                          I realise I am being a tad repetitive here for older Undies, but it has become one of my core beliefs.

                              You are most correct about the happiness & I knew it wasn't right when I wrote it but there it is. Obviously something I need to think about more :l
