Funny!!
Heading to bed. Got my books today....glanced at them but waiting until tomorrow or this weekend to really dig into them. Looks like they're pretty good & will have a lot of information in them.
I hope that everyone is doing well. :h"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

I could get there in about three hours. Can't meet you there, hubby is coming back home today. His sister, BIL and a moving truck will also arrive, then leave tomorrow. The truck contains furniture from their mother's apt, traveling to their brother.
Mama, who's playing in the Super Bowl? We don't pay attention to sports, but should know that to participate in society. My life is better without alcohol, since 9/1/12. My sobriety tool is the list at permalink 236 on the toolbox thread under monthly abstinance.

Good morning everyone, still snowing here. Nora, I can't take antabuse because I have a heart condition, caused by rheumatic fever as a child, not serious but docs won't prescribe it. Managing ok at the moment, it really is mind over matter for me. I'm waiting for my new bed to be delivered, but the way it is snowing at theI moment think I will be lucky if it's delivered today. Our country seems to come to a standstill at the slightest hint of bad weather.

Time to check in....
I've been AWOL due to the blues, plus I don't feel great physically. I don't know if it's the changing weather, family stress, or what. This too shall pass.
Nothing much going on, but it's January, so perhaps that's the way life is supposed to be right now. Why fight it with busyness?
Big day ahead--I'm tackling the mold and mildew in two, tiled showers. Bleach, googles, white slippers, nekkidness, and every brush known to man at the ready.
I love you all.:l:lipstick::lipstick:"Remember, you are responsible for creating your life by every thought, action, choice. Choose well." Oprah Winfrey

Last night I snapped at my daughter and then I apologized...she knew exactly WHY (day 3 of no smokes) and she came over and gave me a huge hug. :l That was my ammunition to keep going with this!
Yoooohoooo MAMA...where are you Cleopatra?

Thank you Flyaway! My daughter is an amazing young woman, if I do say so meself! LOL
Uh Juja...be careful...nekkidness and bleach can be a painful mix...careful not to splash! And when you're done there, can you come and do mine? I just ignore it, I figure if I don't look it's not really there.
One of the dogs (I can guess which one) puked in my daughters bathroom today so I dragged out the bathroom rug, then noticed ants all over the sink...then saw the layers and layers of toothpaste on the faucet...then I stopped looking because I didn't want to see anymore...I didn't even want to peek at the toilet or tub.
Nurdl...we wanted to donate my daughters hair to Locks of Love but it has to be 10" long and can't have been bleached (colored is ok, but no bleach), so we didn't qualify. But that would be a wonderful thing for you to do!
Mama, don't work too hard today. Let your assistant do the majority of it while you kick back, ok?
Nora, Paula, FT, Sunbeam, Techie....hi and :h:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

Juja, vinegar also kills mold and mildew, but is not as toxic to us. I have learned to keep a spray bottle of vinegar near the tub. If I see a small spot I immediately spray it, and it will disappear. I can scrub later, when I have time. Vinegar also dissolves hard water and soap scum, bleach does not. I don't clean the bath as often as I should, but vinegar keeps it manageable. I only spray the spots. When scrubbing I put it directly on my scrubber so I don't have to smell it so much.My life is better without alcohol, since 9/1/12.
