Fallen - keep posting those tips! I need all the help I can get. :H
Hi Nora! So what kind of tips are you looking for... besides EVERYTHING! :H
Are you trying to declutter specific rooms, or are you trying to declutter your entire living space?

This summer I helped a friend declutter & reorganize their small apartment. By the time we were done, not only did I make everything more efficient & organized, but was able to make a small office space in what was previously a jammed packed storage closet. They were thrilled! They never imagined that they would have space for a little office.

What a great family tradition Mama. I miss my extended family. We used to do things like that when I was younger. Now the older members are all gone.

Interesting stuff Fallen. I'm not too bad when it comes to clutter, but I can't stand crap piled on my kitchen island. And unfortunately that is where the mail and everything gets stacked. Drives me insane! I guess we need to sort it immediately. I do have a few hot spots I need to work on. Paperwork is one that I don't have totally figured out.

By the sounds of it, you know where your trouble spots/hot spots are, and yep... those places need daily attention. I use baskets & such in those troublesome areas.
I'm pretty good with paperwork at home, since I'm responsible for keeping all the accounting in order at work. But that doesn't mean I enjoy it! :H
I've been in the same big 100 year old house for 33 years.... I have to keep it organized, otherwise we would be wallowing in decades of clutter, & my entire day would be spent trying to keep it clean.
I don't know why it is, but every January I get a bug up my butt to declutter... several years ago I did a MAJOR purge and called it Clutter's Last Stand! :H

Clutter control has certainly been a big area of improvement in my life since I first went AF five years ago. I still accumulate a few piles of reading material, but I go through everything and toss most of it each winter. I've really been working on the basement recently. A Goodwill store opened in my village a year or two ago, and I keep putting things in my car to drop off. I can really see the difference!

Fallen - I'm going to check out those links! Yes - it is everything. :H

I am really feeling positive about this decluttering. I didn't work on it this weekend like I had planned. But, I worked yesterday and have given myself a break today. I do think that I'm going to go thru some more papers now though. But, I won't get to the closet again today.

Have fun at dinner, Mama. I think it's great that you all do that every week. :h

I'm home on the sofa. I went in to work in spite of my sore throat, got a few things done, and came back home. I was supposed to drive to another work location, but I decided to bag it after I learned that a big accident closed one of our highways. The freezing rain is bad this morning.

Nora, I will be reading the Glass Castle, which I think you mentioned. I just finished Half Broke Horses, which was excellent. I also enjoyed Rebecca, which you recommended. Thanks!

Juja, how are you? I felt like I delivered one too many sermons on Friday, and made you disappear.
