    Hello Steppers!

I hope all the threaders are doing well. I haven't a hope of catching up on over a month of MWO so if I missed something important, let me know!

I read The Glass Castle Mama... good book. Yep, think it was Jeanette Walls that wrote it. Hold please!.................... Yep... Jeanette Walls... 'tis on my bookshelf! )

Hi everyone, rough Saturday as I did allow some evil fluid cross my lips but again fought the temptation to finish, ended poring all of it down the sink. [I WILL SUCCEED].... tomorrow back on the road and will remain focused.

Frequent flyer: I like the words "evil fluids", lol!

Mama: b12 ok, iron I did not check, forgot to. Not gonna poke myself again for that!!! Just gonna constipated and overdose on iron if I need to rather than endure another needle prick! Now I have a legitimate medical excuse of for laziness! Yay!

Zen is back!!!! Life is good again!

Honestly went to the local and bought a small supply of rum and coke bottles, had all set in front of me and started to "reward" myself and was 1/2 thru my drink when a little guy came and tapped my head asking WTF are you doing? Had to seriously re consider my thought process and expectations of what I was truly looking for... Sunday did a serious insight into myself and took time away from Internet, watched tv and wrote into my journal so here I am Monday and keeping pressing on... I will do this.
              THANKS TO YOU GUYS.

FT, good for you dumping those evil liquids down the drain. I'm sorry those urges hit, but to listen to AF thoughts once you are drinking takes real strength. I can remember often thinking once I started, "I don't really want this" but I kept drinking anyway.

One Step at a Time - January 2013

Big news everyone...my daughter and I are going to NEW YORK in October! Friends of ours are going there for 3 months, renting a huge house outside of the City and told us to come stay a while! My plan is to go around October 6th and stay about 10 days....I already requested the time off work...and I also bought a piggy bank to start saving...I figure if I save what I spend every week at the thrift store, we'll be good to go! (Now all I have to do is break my thrift store addiction....)

Hope ya'll had a good weekend!

                      :h

I have a feeling breaking my thrift store addiction will be harder than drinking AND smoking combined....I'll need your help! LOL

New York, New York! My MIL lived on Long Island until she sold her home and moved closer to her daughter. A couple of times we took the train into New York City. We saw Chorus Line once. The other time we went right after Christmas, saw the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall and all the Christmas window displays.
