    Favorite Toys..

Okay, this thought just popped into my head as I was driving home today, so I thought I would ask all of you.

As a kid, I grew up in rural America watching four channels of TV. One of those channels had Star Trek on every Friday night, and I absolutely fell in love with the show.

My favorite toy growing up was a model kit from Star Trek that included a Phaser, a Communicator & a Tricorder. I played for hours on end with it, even though they were cheap pieces of plastic....

My question is - what was your favorite toy growing up?

My Easy Bake Oven. My parents did not have a lot of money and I asked for it for 3 Christmases. When I got it it was like I had won the lottery. I bought one for my daughter but sadly with the amount of toys they make nowadays she did not appreciate it nearly as much as I did mine.

I had this chubby doll called Chrissy. She had a hole on the top of her head where a pony tail came out of & a string out of her back. Pull her pony tail-make her hair long. Pull string-hair short.

I actually looked up that doll on e-bay during a drunken stupor but luckily had enough common sense to not bid & buy it! Geesh! What the hell would I be doing with a 30+ year old used doll?

Sea, that is hysterical. I almost said my Chrissy doll. I LOVED her and would pull and push for hours on end. I did not think anyone had ever heard of her.

And no buying her off E-bay. Too germy............

Mine was the real Barbie doll. My parents were not that well off and my Mom always bought the fake ones which was better than nothing at all. For my 10th birthday my grandparents bought me one.

                      It's true.

                      Also, smurfs.

In fact, I was so obsessed with smurfs at one point that my kindergarten teacher was worried about it (surprise surprise - always the addictive/obsessive personality) and told my parents they should get me interested in something else. I mean, I drew family portraits wherein everyone was smurfs, drew smurfs on EVERYTHING etc. So my parents bought me a board game of some sort and.......I ended up using the pieces to make a road for my smurfs.

                      I am a geek.

Was tinky winky the one with the purse?

Anyways the teletubbies kind of scare me too. I saw them on television once and I couldnt tear my eyes away from the screen. There is something scary going on there.I mean, they are not even 'speaking' but there is something that makes you unable to avert your eyes....
