    Day Three

Day three is going well. Took the bedtime Lorazapam and it knocked me out and I slept well. Woke up groggy but once I had my coffee I felt alert and ready for the day. Really fortunate that I have no urges. Lorazapam doesn't help with that I guess. I guess after day four any withdrawal is pretty much over. Or so I've read but I guess it's different for everybody. I much more enjoyed doing this at home than in the hospital.Looking forward to my new productive life. Hope I can keep it that way. Have the start of after care with a nice lady shrink and she told we what to expect. Good luck to everyone else. I hope your all doing well. Thank you for your support these past few days. I know it helped me.

      Day Three

Great job! Don't be afraid to take the ativan during the day if you are sure you won't get addicted to it. If you get in a spot that you don't think you can get through, take one.

When I was drinking I thought it was only for sleep. I didn't know that if I took it during the day it would just calm me as needed. I only needed one yesterday, been taking two since Saturday. See if I need any today at all or not!
I will be sober so I can be clear and remember being a mommy and so I can be in the best place God wants to place me. I will be here! now! FREE! 12.5mg Topamax AM&PM, Ativan until safe from withdrawal syndrome & for anxiety. Thank God I Am Done!

        CanDo,

        :goodjob:

Keep taking the Lorazepam as directed. My understanding is that seizures can happen up to 5 days after the last drink.

Not likely, but why risk it?

My Dr said DT's and seizures only happen in only about 5 percent of people who quit drinking. Don't know how true that is. But I'll still take the med In fact day 7-10 I am only supposed to take it at bedtime. Then we'll see how I am. My appetite returned big time today and I made some Lipton noodle soup and put 6 shrimp in and sprinkled with a three blend Italian shredded cheese. I planning dinner soon. I like to cook. Good luck to everyone. Stay strong.

You're doing great! I take Ativan as needed...especially when I am quitting smoking (again). I say take it when you need it...we all need tools to help us through this. That lunch does sound good...you reminded me I have shrimp in the freezer I should cook!

Keep us posted on how you're doing!

Unfortunately, I have had DTS, visual and auditory hallucinations and once out of town a seizure. So I say err on the side of caution. :-)

                    I don't think I am proud to be in a 5% category.
