    Lorazapam

I just found this article. Very interesting. I was told by some one Lorazapam doesn't affect craving. This article says among other things it does. I was stressing about going to my gig tonight because I might want to drink and know I can't. I was worried about cravings. Now I'm not. Lorazapam it says blunts cravings. Going to have a good gig. Maybe this is why I haven't had any cravings this week. Lucky me. Thanks doc.

The trouble is, Lorazepam is a benzodiazapine and as such is very addictive in itself. I would be very careful about swapping one addiction for another.
I have done this many times myself so I know how easy it is to do

Excellent news! Have a great gig. You where very wise to go to the doctors and get help. It's working out well.

Only on it for ten days. I'm on day five and a down to 1-1/2 MG per day. Day 7-10 iMG on at bedtime then I'm off it. My doctor used it just to get me through the first ten days then it's up to me.

It spaced me the first day and I only took one. Could have taken 4 in a 24 hour period. But was afraid to. The one at bedtime puts me right out. My wife says I don't move all night. Going to enjoy my new life. Going to use the money I'm not spending on booze to go on vacation. Can't wait. This forum is great. Who thought it up?

Here's the message from the founder ...roberta jewell.....For 20 years I suffered a serious drinking problem but was reluctant to seek help. Ironically, I was recognized as a proficient researcher, able to help others with their medical problems. I worked closely with doctors, some of whom were close friends. But I still felt the need to deal with my own problem privately. Then after years of study and a number of remarkable events, I developed a program that completely turned my life around. A recovery program that incorporates medication (Topamax, Campral or other meds as they become available); supplements including amino acids, vitamins, and the powerful anti-craving herb kudzu; a highly customized hypnotherapy program; and light exercise. It's done privately in your home with free support and mentoring on our incredible web based discussion board. The program works quickly and effectively to put you on the road to recovery.

My Way Out has captured the attention of both the medical community and the media. It's been covered in The Wall Street Journal and Newsweek Magazine among others. The reason? It works.

I invite you to join us on this exciting journey, whether you choose to quit drinking completely or moderate your consumption--it's all up to you.
