Army Thread Friday 25th January
Hi guys. RC to answer your question, I suppose it's multi faceted. As alread mentioned the fall back setting when any number of incidents or events occur, be they good or bad, my missing the hit, but in truth the unwillingness to put in the hard hours despite knowing in my heart and soul I would have to face up to the reality once again soon. Some days I think I wil never quit, just slowly poison myself and face the grave years before my time, how selfish is that.Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

I got myself some specs from friggintesco. 3 quid and work a treat
Right, I am off for a spot of dogging. See you later folksies
I should get off outside too, but not sure if I can face it. The temp is actually above freezing, so I think the cold spell may have ended.

Three quid? Blimey! I could afford that. Mind you, I have no idea what kind of specs I need.

Morning Army, very cold here and strong winds but no more snow!
I've been reading over recent posts and so many strike a chord, particularly ones about putting the work in and facing reality.
One thing i am doing is putting the money I would have spent in a jar, and it's mounting up, I will have a guilt free splash out on something nice soon. A tangible reward for the hard work, would that help anyone?
Big :l to all of us who are struggling, an AF weekend will do us all good.
Back later, have a good day Army gang :l

Good morning Tipperooooo, Doo doo, Starters, Tabbers, Foxyloxy, Reccybear, Runners, Sweety, Mick, Sooooooooooooty.
Crikey Sooty, great minds and all that. I used to stick a pound coin in a jar every morning and give the jar a rattle each morning. Might sound daft but it was reassuring every morning to here the coins jingling. Then when I had enough I'd change them to notes. So picking the jar up and giving it a shake and hearing the rustle of notes and the jangle of coins I knew it was time for a big treat.
mmmmmm reality. I lived in a fog of alcohol for so many years it was actually a pleasant surprise that reality was all that bad. Sure a lot of life is pure crap but I can find a lot of joy these days in the simplest things.
I've still haven't got any spare money, I still smoke, I'm still overweight but the good outweighs the bad each and every single day.It could be worse, I could be filing.
