The Shrink Saga
It's funny. Most people I talk to don't think AA is the only solution. I know some of their members feel that it is because they have told me so in the past. If it works for you great but let me find my own path to success with"my problem". What works for you might not work for me. We are all individuals with our own,needs, wants and desires. I have told hardly anyone I quit except a few close friends and family. No one asked me if I was going to AA. The rest of the people haven't noticed or said anything. I went into the liquor store where I have shopped for years to by a pack of smokes and the girl behind the counter, who know's me quite well, didn't comment that I haven't bought any wine in two weeks. I like this, being anonymous in my quitting. Same on gigs. My band hasn't said a word yet about it. If they ever do I'll just say I'm not interested in having a drink and leave it at that. Thanks.
