    Hey chickpea, better day?

OK question for all you peeps that flies in them big metal burds... is it best to book flights nearer the time, or get them well in advance. I'm look at flights to Cork for the marathon there and the only ones that will fit with my and the marathon schedule are coming in at over ?250 and that's quite a wee bit out me budget thank you very much!

                    Evening all,
Go on Limers tell us what ya been up to?
When you think the highlight of my day wasn't being able to get a parking space in Aldi it's got to be good.

                    :welcome: home Zennifer.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

And mine the air ambulance incident - I contribute monthly to that by the way - working on the motorways I've seen it often enough to know when it's called in, it's bad. And it's not govt funded - so all public support is welcome :thanks:

It's absolutely shocking that the air ambulance are govt supported. Same goes for the one and only we've got here.
One of the must do charities IMHO.

Well I thought it was a shocker - I thought they had govt support, but they don't. And they run 2 in the north west. They did a door to door drive a few months ago and I signed up then. Hubs wasn't happy cos I already support a couple of charities via direct debit - don't feel guilty then walking past the tin rattlers. But now - it's been in our area twice in two weeks - today for the little girl, and two weeks ago for a man that fell from a roof.

                            Worth every penny IMO :h

Hello, Army. I slipped out and left as planned. If I can figure out how to upload a piccie from the tablet, I'll post a picture of the view at the place the party was held. That was the best part of it. I left when theystarted downing tequila and other shooters. Mrs. T still dancing and socialising. I just don't know how she does it, being stone cold sober. The one other AF guy (also an alkie) has a partner who drinks. He says he gets fairly bad social anxiety under circumstances like these. We were both fine with the much smaller gathering at our house on NYE.

Anyhoo... Already lying in bed with a glass of ice cold lemonade. Mum and the youngest cub snoring away, as are Jasmine and all the cats. Ours don't seem to be very nocturnal, come to think of it. The eldest is sprawled on the couch in front of the telly.

How about a wee slice of cheesecake, JC?
                              I'll do whatever it takes

Reminds me of when someone knocked on the door for The Dogs Trust. I wheeled Bess out and said is ?35 a month all right because that's what she's costing us. We got her from the Dogs Trust.

Right must go and feed. Nodded off before, so dinner's very late and I'll prolly be awake all night now.
