    February Undies and Friends

'Some have suggested putting a red ?C? on your hand with a marker, and then each time you see it, ask yourself, ?Am I dreaming?? You could then do a reality check, like try and levitate. Eventually, this may transfer over to your dream state, and when you wonder ?Am I dreaming?? and do a reality check, you will find yourself levitating, and realize, ?This is a dream!?.'

Now, i dunno about youse, but i've been waiting for something like this for a very long time. Access to yer portal of sorts, if you will. I've been levitating all afternoon, and i'm loving it! Not easy at first, but i reckon in combination with ya yantra mat, and drifting in and out of sleep, this levitating lark has got legs, not only for us here and those in the cheap seats, but the public at large.

    Bravo!

          So those are petroglyphs?
Looks like they might need a bit of protecting and preservation soon eh? I can see bits sort of laminating off the rock.

So you reckon a bit of lucid dreaming will get the job done Bird?:H

So condoms are the new party treat/momento are they? Gone are the days of a bag of lollies or manky almonds wrapped in mosquito net?

Bizarrest of weather here, so nowt to do but sit and watch Come Dine With Me re-runs
What a dizzying existence I do lead.....

            Morning all,

30C for the next five days. Off to check out those petro thingos before attempting Roo in Blackbean sauce. It's an ancient indigenous recipe. Must balance my chakaras first but

              QUOTE]

              This explains it sweetie...

American Indians and Spanish settlers carved their images on these basalt boulders. The nature of the rock itself is what allows the petroglyphs to be visible. The basalt is high in iron, manganese and calcium. The combination of these minerals makes the basalt a light gray color. After long exposure to oxygen and water the iron and manganese oxidize or rust. A dark shiny coating, or patina, forms on the surface of the basalt boulders. The patina is called desert varnish. When looking at the dark basalt boulders, you are actually looking at desert varnish.

I used to see condom machines in public bathrooms. Don't think I've seen any for a long time though....nice pics Tech..we went to visit my Mom once and there were petroglyphs on the beach. However, they had removed the originals, and replaced with fakes. Good idea....was cleaning kitchen and cat walked in, made a horrible meow, fell to the floor, eyes glassy like death, made a couple jerks and still about 5 seconds then came to...was very frightening, she is about 10..think I might start making her catfood myself. Looks like a pain in the ass but...been raining all day and I slept for 3 hours...

                    morning Undies

beautiful day here - a lovely, sunny 21 degrees. Just right for garden work without getting overheated.

Great photos, Techie (though no nekkidness evident )

Happy - great older locust came home unscathed (still with toga intact?! Could have done with your needlework skills at past toga parties!) Are you going to have to have talk with younger one?

Yantra mats winging there way out west.

                    Have a fun day.

I find this shot really interesting. In all your daytime hiking shots, you all look as though you're in the middle of nowhere but here - just have a look at the background. There's roads and stuff ...

Yes Tawn it is right in the middle of North Phoenix. The other hikes I do are usually in the McDowell Mountain Preserve which is kilometers east of Shaw Butte. There is NO night hiking allowed in many areas of the valley, including the McDowells. It can be extremely dangerous. Some do it, but if you get caught (many do) there are huge fines. Mountain trails like Shaw Butte, and North Mountain (I hike every so often) minimize the chance of getting lost in the dark.

Well I hiked up to the top of a bloody mountain of revision and assignments and stuck the Australian flag in the top.
                            So there.

I'm just going to sit over here in the corner and stare for a bit.
