Mama I know someone who just had that done about a month ago. The procedure itself took about 3-4 hours, but she had to lie flat in a hospital bed for about 5 hours afterward. Her groin area swelled way up and she was quite swollen for a week or so. Also the procedure itself can cause swelling of the heart and he may feel tired for a few weeks because of the swelling. The person that I know was wiped out and it probably took nearly a month before her energy levels were back up.

Mama, Is Clay's problem called atrial fibrillation? My husband has bouts of that, and I think the drs have considered the same surgery for him. Thank you, too, for the offer to talk. It's hard for me to reach out, for some reason--like I'm not supposed to feel this way.
Glass, What a bummer! I hope this year is a better one for you.
If we decide to chat, I'll have to talk to Techie first. Microsoft won't let me install Activex to chat via MWO. Maybe someone knows another way, and can let me know. I'm not tech-savvy, not my thing.

I'm home......tonight is yoga but I'm not going. Still have my sore neck/back and a headache. So, I'm curled up in bed and giving myself a break.
Mama - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope that you had a wonderful day. I'm sorry that you had to deal with your boss today on your birthday. :l
Sun - we should see about setting up a chat time. It would be lots of fun. We'll have to figure out Juja's computer issues first.
I'll check back in later. I hope that everyone is feeling ok. :h"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

just now had a chance to jump on.......
it is raining here too FT...
quiet evening but both my boys gave me cards. Grant, the oldest, has a job a bought me a lovely card and candy. Clay, my crazy 17 year old that is having his procedure tomorrow gave me the following written on the back of some mail.
" Mom, I love you so very much!! Since I do not have any money I got you this. I am surprised that you have stayed with being treated the way you are by Grant (his big brother). But I 'm happy you never left, cos I love you so much! Love, Clay"
I laughed and laughed!!! crazy kid
posted a resume on Career Builder today.....do you think they could make that process any harder.....
I either stay here, where I have worked my ass off and am now miserable, or I start looking at other options. Simple as that.
Fake it till you make it, right, Nora??I love my family more than alcohol.:h

Hi Mama,
I bet all goes well with your baby boy, but it is a mom's job to worry about things like this.
Good for you getting your resume out there. Quality workers are hard to find. I bet you end up happier and maybe making more money.
Enjoy the day everyone. My earliest bulbs, called winter aconite, are up with their yellow buds. The sun is out, some may open today. I plan to go out and clean up the yard a bit. There are lots of sticks and plentiful dog poop.My life is better without alcohol, since 9/1/12. My sobriety tool is the list at permalink 236 on the toolbox thread under monthly abstinance.

good morning!
Mama, Clay sounds like a lovely kid. I know we all worry ourselves sick about our babies but 17 yr old boys are about as tough as they make 'em and if he's an athlete he'll bounce back in no time.
Nora I'm so sorry about your neck/back pain. Is there anything that usually works for you when you get this? Does heat or massage help?
Juja - nice to meet you I hope you start feeling a bit better soon. I have depression at times and it's (insert appropriate swear word here) awful. The worst thing is that it drains any ability out of you to do whatever will make you feel better.
Fly - I've just started to do little trips without crutches this week. I've made it to the letterbox and back a few times and I'm about to try a little further.
BTW - I just realised I'm on day 14! The last couple of days crept up on me!There's two ways of looking at the holes in your shoes
