I'm so happy to hear that you've heard from Juja Nora. I too have been overwhelmed with depression at times and it's awful. I understand her not feeling up to posting. Thanks for letting us know.

Allswell! Good to see you, and I'm thinking that all is well in your life, even if it isn't perfect. Yes, I am getting excited about the gardening season. We had a large tree removed a couple of weeks ago, which will give my big back garden more sun. The tree was nearing the end of its lifespan, and had our power lines running through it.My life is better without alcohol, since 9/1/12. My sobriety tool is the list at permalink 236 on the toolbox thread under monthly abstinance.

I enjoyed The Dollar Tree. Actually we went to two of them. :H I had found some fabric storage boxes that fit perfectly on my closet shelves. The store near our home didn't have them so we drove to another store that I knew had them. Of course, we found a couple other things we couldn't live without.
I went to work for an hour today. That was it. Just didn't feel the need to waste anymore of my weekend there. i regret staying at a small company for so many years. I realize that at my age, it's going to be hard to find something else without a college degree, etc. Oh well - at least I have a job.
Allswell - great to see you. Hope your work gets better. Hard to deal with the bad clients.
Sun - I was thinking of you today. You are really doing great. I'm so happy for you. I'm glad you didn't have to drive in the snow.
Fly - I agree about the depression. I told Juja that she didn't need to feel any pressure to post here. Just wanted her to know that we were thinking of her.
I hope that Paula is ok. I haven't heard from her. Also, Dottie.
Back to my book. Sending big hugs to everyone.:h"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Hi, Loveys,
I apologize for not posting lately. You've all been so good to me, and I just left you hanging.
As dearest Nora told you, I'm struggling a bit with depression, but I'm okay. Really. I'm just weary, and MWO often feels like one more commitment. No offense meant.:h
Most important, I feel like a phony here. I hadn't been trying that hard to be AF, and all of you were. I am giving it a go in Feb.--I've made it AF 5 out of 9 days so far.
I have Vale's book by my bed, but have yet to read it. Kind of tired of talking about AL.
When I see my psych I'm going to ask for AB or Baclofen.
I wish I could stop the AD and tranquilizer, too. They both make me eat. ARGGH! But, better to be overweight than hospitalized for depression.
Love to all,

Good morning all. A bright and sunny and cold day here. Hubby is sick with a chest cold. I'm hoping I don't get it too. We're supposed to have house guests all next weekend. Speaking of which, I really should be cleaning my house! :H
Juja! No apologies necessary here. I completely understand not feeling up to posting here. I go through phases with my posting and sometimes I feel as though I have nothing to offer. Sometimes I get tired of constantly focusing on alcohol. Post when you feel up to it. We are all behind you. :l
Love and hugs to all the rest. I hope you all have a great day.

Juja, good to see you. Gathering together the resolve to fight an alcohol addition does take a lot of energy. We understand, and also hope that you seek out what you really need to improve your life.
Fly, it sounds like we live in the same weather system. The sun is glorious this morning.
Nora, I am fortunate that we have been able to support each other. My life is better without alcohol, since 9/1/12. My sobriety tool is the list at permalink 236 on the toolbox thread under monthly abstinance.

Juja -
so glad you checked in. I, too, understand the burden of depression. We are here for you, ok?
And as far as the AL, you are not a phony. Not at all
Nora- I am glad you didn't go to work. You go every weekend and you some time for yourself.
I spent $150 at the Dollar Tree on Friday. It was all work stuff...no goodies for me.
Sleep comes and goes for me. I hate needing meds for sleep, but when I cut back, I toss and turn all night.
It's chilly here
better get my butt moving
xo to all....I love my family more than alcohol.:h

Wow! I slept in until 10 then went back to sleep at about 12:30 and woke up at 3:00. My goodness. I woke up to a horrible nightmare about work and I was qutting. :upset:
Juja - no pressure. I agree that you are not a phony. That is what this place is about. But, don't make this be another responsibility.:l

Hi Guy! Good to see you. I am also trying to remain sober. Some days I have more resolve than others. But, I guess it is like that in all things. Some days I want to exercise and some days I don't, some days I want to eat healthy & some days I am cramming M&M's in my face. :H
Anyway - really glad to see you. Good for you for wanting to remain sober. We can do this. :h"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Mama, did you have fun today? Hope it was a nice family trip.
Still upset about the whole work thing. :upset: Trying to continue with my 'Let it Go' mantra. Have a horrible stiff neck/back - so the stress is coming out anyway. AArrrgghhh

Hi all,
I love the feeling of waking up with no hangover, to be able to recall the previous evening. It has been great to sleep in my own bed again and makes me refresh my desire to stop this traveling madness, but like all its one step at a time.
Went to the local park yesterday and rode my bike (it felt great) spent the weekend with my son (awesome) and today is the catch up with bill day (yukk).
Plan on going out for a ride again as it refreshes me nicely and just a feel good moment.
Hope everyone has a great day and sorry for my sparse recent writing but all is well.
FTAF with a few speed bumps during 2014 & 2015 but will succeed.
As of 4/12/2014 I have not smoked at all and feel great.
