Mama, what an awful procedure! I had no idea that's what it entailed. I'm glad Clay's home and up and about.

Everyone, Thanks for your words of encouragement re my siblings. I feel better tonight, and somewhat proud of myself, too. For once, I said no, and in no uncertain terms. I feel like an adult!:H

Nora, I saw your post to MAL. Thanks for stepping up and saying your peace. When I first read MAL's comment, I couldn't help but think about a woman I met when I was hospitalized for depression. She told me she would go to an AA meeting, and go home a drink a fifth of vodka. I know she wished she could just stop.

Cold and rainy here tonight, but I'm quite cozy in bed. I have a good book to read, and am watching something on eBay, too. Hope I don't get sniped!

Love you all to the moon and back.:h

I bet they are Mama. My friend didn't go back to work for a week and she was still tender then. She didn't want to wear anything too tight around that area for a while. She was quite swollen.

          I hope he heals quickly.

I'm so glad the op went well Mama, but Clay must be feeling very sore and sorry for himself. Poor kid! Has he tried sitting on an ice pack?

In kid-related news, my youngest son came home from London yesterday so I'm a Glass Half Full today. He moved there 11 months ago and I thought he might be gone for a couple of years, but he decided to come back to go back to uni. It's so nice to have him back on this side of the world

Oh Glass...how happy for you. I want my boys to spread their wings, but I don't want them to fly too far!!

                Thanks Techie, you sweetie you.
I guess I better go read Mal's thread. I tend to get pretty feisty, though!
Juja- you poor baby. I didn't know you had been hospitalized for depression. How awful. I am so thankful I can function and usually try to ignore that demon. Sometimes he rears his head and bites me in the ass, but usually all I have to worry about is the side effects from the medication.
Nurdl- you sound great and are looking HOT in that pink convertible.
Nora- check in and let us know how your family is doing.

anyone know how to get adhesive off the skin in a tender area??
Clay's "jewels" are sticking to his legs and it's making him nuts. I tried rubbing alcohol, to no avail.
                Coffee please...it's cold here!!
Morning FT!!!! When do hit the road again?? What do you do that you travel so much??
Howdy Niner, when you show up

Mama the only thing I know about is to soak it thoroughly first. That's what I have to do when my physio tapes me up. Is he able to have a bath? I hope they shaved him first, otherwise I doubt that anything will help.

Ok that took a lot of inner strength.
Went to get some groceries and was repeatedly drawn to the wine rack but somewhere found the strength deep from within inside to walk away, and leave store with what I had in hand even if I was not finished shopping. (Ok I did pay for what I had - LOL)
So here I am back home cooking some dinner and ecstatic of my choice...

Well done on walking away from something that was calling you from so close, that's a huge achievement and you should be very proud of yourself!

                                Hi friends,
I attended a gardening symposium today, very refreshing. Spring is comming.

FT, good work resisting that wine rack. I'm happy that wine isn't sold in our grocery stores.

Two weeks from tomorrow we will be traveling to Sanibel Island Florida. I already have my suitcase out.
My life is better without alcohol, since 9/1/12. My sobriety tool is the list at permalink 236 on the toolbox thread under monthly abstinance.
