Good morning everyone and Happy February !

Really glad to see the back of January, as its quite a dreary month. February seems like a much more hopeful month in the great scheme of things

I had a very stressful day at work yesterday and was also not feeling the best. I kept having thoughts of popping a few pills just to get through, take the edge off etc. Not had strong feelings like that for a while. Thankfully I didnt act on them. Feel as if I have overcome a bit of hurdle there. Its all too easy just to say fuck it with this isnt it.

Its Friday too, so lots to be grateful for and also I spent the evening with some lovely friends that I havent seen for a while. They was 6 of us and 2 glasses of wine were consumed over the whole evening. Innerestin, back in the day I certainly wouldnt have been happy or comfortable with "Just the one"

Sobriety aint for wimps but it sure is the way to go

No, not really, well no more than usual, but its end of the month and that means constant and I mean constant phone calls, taking cash, not accepting excuses for non payment etc. A tougher than usual stance which I find hard at times. Plus I havent been sleeping well and that always stresses me out

How's the arthritis these days mario? I read that omega 3 fish oil can help with it. I expect you're already aware.

I can definitely empathise with the sleep problem and I know I wouldn't like to have to keep chasing people to get them to pay up. Did your employers send you on a training course at any stage to help you learn how best to deal with the people that you come into contact with on the phone?

Recluse artritis will be with me for a while to come,it will take at least six months before they know of the medication i am taking is working :-)

One more day for me then off work for a week. Would normally buy a stash of wine to get stuck into tonight. And sorry to say did have drinking thoughts yesterday whilst in work

Want to put it here in black and white to hold self accountable. I cannot drink. Drink is not a reward or treat, it will not enhance time off work, it will kill me.

Morning folks another one here not getting the daily quota of sleep and I have a mad busy day ahead.
Starty your job sounds very stressful and I know it wouldn't be something I wouldn't be able to do or be happy at. Maybe it's time to reassess and see if this is a job you could see yourself in 5 yrs time. If not then think of what it is that would, life is too short to be stuck daily in a place that grinds us down.
