Which is GREAT! There is nothing worse than someone quoting out of a book rather than real life experience.

For me, it helps to read of others experience, to share stories and support and to know I am not alone. This place provides all that, as does AA im sure, but isnt it better to have the best of both worlds?

Yeah... and a couple were young and really hadn't seen much drug or alcohol time... and I have to admit, I didn't spend too much time with them as I did with the ones that had been around the block. There are two that really stood out... and they helped me a lot. And the camaraderie was cool. We all understood where we were at.

You know what, as freaked out as I was with it all, it was a great experience... )

I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person.

I think you are so lucky to have had the opportunity to experience rehab.

It seems like a complete immersion in the recovery process is a comforting and educational thing.

The trouble with us, is that at our great age, we dont alway like being told stuff by youngsters. BUT, sometimes they are wise beyond their years and do have stuff worthy of listening to. I guess the key is just to have an open mind.

I had a tough time as I was amongst kids. But I still got a lot out of it. (And I kicked arse in cross-training! *snigger!*) :H

One of the kids called me an eighty year old. Before I knew what I was doing I bawled "fuck youuuuuuuuuuuuuu" at her! :H She never said that again.... LMFAO!
