A lot of my dreams are about not being able to speak or run, but last night I shared a sensual kiss with Vince Donofrio of Law & Order criminal intent, and he was a lovely kisser. Never went further.

PASSION DREAMS!

Passion in a dream, warns of possible trouble, probably within the home environment. If a woman dreams of being passionate, this is indication that she is on the right track in her current efforts. A man being passionate suggests a new love-relationship but it might not last. A wife who dreams of passion might expect better and more prosperous times ahead. On the other hand, a husband who dreams of being passionate may be changeable, perhaps in love.

Thanks for making the thread, Dimension!
Dreaming has always been a very important part of my life. My father is native american and we grew up discussing and analyzing dreams. I have multiple books on dreaming and interpreting, lucid dreams, contact dreams, etc.
When I was still drinking, I had multiple dreams that my car was out of control, and also that I was drowning, or stuck in a body of water somewhere. Several times I dreamt I was stuck on a cruise ship.
Last night I dreamt that I was on my way to a party. I passed by a friend and asked him "hey are you going to the party?" and he said "No way, I'm sober 4 months now!" then I remembered that I was sober too and told him about it. I went to the party, did not drink, and wondered why I was even there. I suddenly felt like a stranger to all these people who I normally drank with.Day 1 again 11/5/19
Goal 1: 7 days :heartbeat:

One of the rare dreams that I can actually remember happened a few nights ago. I dreamt that my ex-boyfriend of 7 years tried to hang himself. He didn't succeed and in my dream his family told me what happened and I burst out crying. We haven't been together in 7 years, and I know he's not-very-happily married now, but I haven't had contact with him in well over a year. My ego wanted me to think that he attempted suicide because he's so distraught over me (he was for many years). I don't know why I am even still dreaming about him after all this time. I haven't been in a real relationship since him, and I thought he was "the one". We were engaged and he was a father-figure to my young daughter. It took me YEARS to get over him. Anyway, he still haunts me. LOL:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:
Believe in yourself. You are stronger than you think.

BAD DREAM!!!
Last night I had the most vivid dream that I forgot I was sober. I drank and got drunk, and it was bad. Somehow in the dream, I remembered that I quit drinking and I made a huge mistake and I was devastated. I was planning my post to write on MWO when I woke up.
*shudders*

I have had a recurring dream for years and years - I am in a town by the sea - I have no idea where it is but I have been there in my dream so often that I know all the short cuts etc., and I am usually shopping for something - I HATE shopping - I am also sometimes on my way to the airport and usually either forget my ticket or my suitcase. I am trying to buy English stuff to take with me (I am a Brit living in USA) and I know which shops usually have the stuff. The trip to the airport is usually fraught with difficulties - either bad weather or car accidents (not bad ones - just cars in the way type of thing) but I am not worried about it. The dream is almost boring - when I wake up it is "oh gosh - THAT again". There is a huge house/hotel that I stay in and I generally have my dogs with me - it faces the sea and the sea is usually very rough - I LOVE the sea - and I worry about losing one of the dogs as they aren't on a lead.
That is most of it - there are other odds and ends in there some nights but I must have this dream 4 or 5 nights out of 7. It never scares me or worries me - as I said, it is almost boring even with all the stuff that goes on in it - just curious to see what you would make of it........
Sun XXXHow simple it is to see that we can only be happy now and there will never be a time when it is not now....

RECURRING DREAMS!

What I do find, is that all the symbols in a dream relate to each other like words in a sentence, and trying to pick apart the symbols without relating them to each other doesn't work very well.
Here are some other things I have noticed during the years: sometimes a symbol can have multiple meanings, for example the sea can sometimes mean "to see", or a nose can sometimes be "to know" or "he knows."
Locations usually represent some aspect of life of the self that makes sense. For instance, if you dream of being in your own house, in the basement, that would be your own subconscious, whereas if you dream you were in a farmhouse at the top of the world in a basement, that would be about the collective subconscious of the whole world.
These types of dreams happen because there?s something that we?re not dealing with, such as a traumatic event, insecurity, or anxiety. We push it to the back of our heads to avoid confronting whatever stresses us out, but our brains don?t like unfinished business. Instead, they want us to cope and release the unpleasantness. Every time the stressor comes up in our daily lives, feeling doubtful about a particular skill or being reminded of a tragedy from the past, for example.. the subconscious nags us with whatever symbol it chooses to express that weakness or fear. And since most of us have at least one thing that worries us or challenges our confidence, recurring dreams are extremely common.
In general dreams recur because there are ways the dreamer habitually responds to their internal or external world. Because their attitude or response is unchanging, the dream that reflects it remains the same. It is noticeable in those who explore their dreams, that recurring themes disappear or change because the attitudes or habitual anxieties that gave rise to them have been met or transformed. A recurring environment in a dream where the other factors change is not the same. We use the same words over and over in speech, yet each sentence may be different. The environment or character represents a particular aspect of oneself, but the different events that surround it show it in the changing process of our psychological growth and experience. Where there is no such change, it suggests an area of our mental emotional self is stuck in a habitual feeling state or response.

DD-----I finally remember part of a dream, as I have told you before I rarely remember my dreams. Last night I had a dream that a large worm was crawling out of my nose. I was crying in my dream and I was scared. When I woke up I ran to the bathroom to blow my nose, my husband said that he tried to wake me as I was really crying in my sleep and found me at the end of the bed curled around my puppy who was also crying and licking my face. What do you make of this?"Sometimes the strongest people are the ones who love beyond all faults, cry behind closed doors and fight battles that nobody knows about".

A nose in a dream also represents an aspect of one's beauty, or what one adorns himself with, such as wealth, or the pride you take in your family.
All worms, can represent family members. For example if one sees worms coming out of his mouth in a dream, it means that some members of his family are plotting against him. Worms leaving one's body in a dream mean overcoming distress! Also worms in a dream can represent one's enemies. To put it in general it means something is up and you know it. Have you lost trust in somebody close to you, or become suspicious of someone recently?

Good Morning DD.....I had another crazy dream last night. You may have opened some kind of dream flood gate, as I very rarely remember my dreams, but have for the past 2 nights. Last night I dreamt that I was in some kind of construction zone, it was very loud. I could hear jack hammers and a loud beeping noise and traffic from the surrounding area. I was trying to get out but couldn't....a large yellow crane kept trying to hoist me up in the air, it finally got me, lifted me way up in the air and swung me around and then dropped me....I remember being scared out of my mind and was able to swing my body in such a manner that I grabbed onto the base of the crane before I hit the ground in which the crane suddenly turned orange...and I was hanging on for dear life."Sometimes the strongest people are the ones who love beyond all faults, cry behind closed doors and fight battles that nobody knows about".
