DREAM WARRIORS - Tell us about the dreams you had last night!

    HIGHER CREATIVE SELF!

Oneredshoe;1468926 wrote: Good Morning DD.....I had another crazy dream last night. You may have opened some kind of dream flood gate, as I very rarely remember my dreams, but have for the past 2 nights. Last night I dreamt that I was in some kind of construction zone, it was very loud. I could hear jack hammers and a loud beeping noise and traffic from the surrounding area. I was trying to get out but couldn't....a large yellow crane kept trying to hoist me up in the air, it finally got me, lifted me way up in the air and swung me around and then dropped me....I remember being scared out of my mind and was able to swing my body in such a manner that I grabbed onto the base of the crane before I hit the ground in which the crane suddenly turned orange...and I was hanging on for dear life.
Dear RedShoe, What is the reason for your loss of trust in your Husband? You can send it to me in private if you wish..
About your new dream.. A construction site symbolizes with all its workers and construction equipment life, personal development and life planning. If there is on-site activity, both private and professional prospects are good. If the workers are progressing slowly, little work or shut down the site, this indicates difficulties in personal development and calls for greater endurance. If scaffolding collapses or another misfortune is happening then personal advancement is at serious risk.
To dream that you are being lifted, represents that you are rising above unpleasant conditions or issues. Maybe you need to lift your sights, embrace a new goal. New attitudes, tap into your ?higher? creative self.

I have always had really lucid dreams, vivid and detailed. I always remember most of my dreams and would tell them to my children like they were mini stories..which They were, I guess...

But since that awful night where that crazy woman attacked me and my kids (verbally) I've slept very fitfully and can't remember anything I dream except maybe a few stray images....

I don't like this at all... :upset:

PS - not drinking over it at least...

        TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCES!

All traumatic experiences which can upset and distress us. They arouse powerful and disturbing feelings in us which usually settle in time.. A traumatic event occurs when a person is in a situation where there is a risk of harm or danger to themselves or other people. Situations like this are usually frightening or cause a lot of stress. In such situations, people feel helpless. People react differently and take different amounts of time to come to terms with what has happened. Even so, you may be surprised by the strength of your feelings. It is normal to experience a mix of feelings. Usually it would have the effect that you can not sleep or you start having nightmares, as opposed to you can not dream.. However it can also cause memory problems.. So I think you are dreaming, you just can't remember them. In time this will go away.. Relax and realize it's not your fault and that it's not so important in your life. Oh.. What dreams may come!

I recently had a very vivid sex dream, and I remembered it upon awakening. I don't remember the details. I Very seldom have a dream like that. I recently started baclofen, and that may have something to do with it.

          Just curious.

              Sex Dreams!

Yes indeed GeauxGirl! In fact 73.68% of females have abnormal dreams when taking baclofen!!! But only 26.32% of males have abnormal dreams when taking baclofen!! WHY? I think it's is simple.. because in my experience,.. Females are more sensitive in life and often more open to the spiritual world and seeking the truth. More men are now opening their minds to all the possibilities of the Universe.. (But it's taking awhile!)
Dreams that involve acts of sexual experimentation or erotic emotions usually involve people known to you and may reveal something about your feelings for that person. If they involve your existing flame, the meaning is generally clear. Having sex with someone you know but who you aren't intimately involved with, however, may mean that you are harboring a secret attraction. That's great if you're both available but if you're already involved in a relationship, you may want to steer clear of situations that would lead you to act on these feelings. If the horizontal dance partner in your dream is a total stranger, it could be your subconscious telling you something about the relationship you have with yourself.

Last night I dreamt that I came on here and finally fessed up that I had fallen off the wagon on and off over the past few months. When I woke up this morning, I did just that. And I am proud to say that I am done with drinking.

Wagoneer, This is a easy one.. This dream was your subconsciousness imploring you to be honest with (YOURSELF).. and as a result of that you are honest with others as well.. :goodjob:

                    What a great thread.

Last night I had a dream that I was at a social event and all of these elders and warriors were testing me and whispering ugly things about me (I am not native, but have friends who are so not sure why the symbols?). Some were true and some were not. One test was that I had to stand and stare at this grotesque mask while someone else sang words in another language that I had to sing back. Another was a warrior taunting me to see whether I would explode in anger -- I think maybe he was more of a trickster than a warrior. It was literally like a battleground of sorts though. The intensity of bad feelings is not going to be very easy to explain here, but I actually woke up in tears and had a good cry before I fell back asleep. I know it means my brain is on the mend, but so intense.

ljeanner, You are on the verge of having Karmic Dreams.. (Although I hesitate to call this dream a Karmic Dream) I would say you are coming closer and closer.. This means you are spiritually advancing and that is excellent news!
Regardless of your level of spiritual advancement, the primary purpose of your dreams is to give you "coaching" about your life now. Therefore, most dreams will be filled with people, places, and things that are familiar to you in your life today. (Was this social event filled with things familiar to you?)
This also seems very much like COMING-OF-AGE RITUAL.. So I think you are literally testing yourself via your subconscious. You are coming into a new phase of your life and your mind is trying to speed the change along despite your reservations.
In the Apache culture the girls' skin is painted and covered with a sacred mixture of pollen and clay, which they must not wash off during the entire ceremony." The ritual itself is physically demanding. The girls have to pray, dance for hours, sit with their backs straight, and perform other physically draining activities. They are given instruction in sexuality, self-esteem, dignity, confidence, and healing ability. They are told to pray towards the east at dawn and in the four cardinal directions, which represent "the four stages of life"..
(You are entering another stage of life. Rejoice and accept it!)

WOW. This is such a powerful interpretation. And it fits somehow. Thank you so much for taking the time to explore and write about my dream DD. It couldn't have come at a better time.

The social event was filled with people who I am familiar except for the elder (whom I thought was maybe a medicine man) and was performing the call and response, so to speak. He was drumming while he sang. The person wearing the grotesque mask in my dream is a Cree artist whom I have only met a few times, but he led a healing/truth circle at my previous place of work. Hmmmmm. Interesting. He also does not drink and gave it up many many years ago.

I thought his wearing the grotesque mask fascinating since he has one of the most beautiful, expressive, and kind faces I have encountered. He also teaches Cree. I have no idea if the words being sung were Cree (I doubt it since I don't know Cree), but he did once teach me the Cree phrase hy hy, which is thank you.

The warrior is a mix of different performance artists that I know, and one was an actual warrior (political) during a crisis here in Canada. I don't know if you are aware of what is happening in Canada around Idle No More, but all of this is just so fitting with respect to my own transformation and healing.

Truly fascinating to learn about the Apache ritual for girls -- especially since so many of my drinking issues seem to stem from my still living in a state of adolescence regarding my self-esteem, dignity, sexuality and such. WOW, again. Just WOW.

One thing about the dream too, is that I was being forced to "perform" in front of all these people and I hate performing in public. Also, all of the characters were male, except for one female (a friend) who was the only one comforting me.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for this. I will be spending a lot of time pondering over this dreams significance and doing some further research. Obviously there is a very important message in this dream.

You are very good at this DD! hy hy xo LJ

Oh one more thing ... I can't stop thinking about this dream! The medicine man was actually someone I met once. He was very sage-like, in his late 50s or early 60s and Cree. He named me "ugly one." Not because he thought I was "ugly" but because he said that is how I saw myself. I had forgotten all about that! Oh, my goodness, the grotesque mask was mirroring how I see myself and asking me to see what was underneath. Sigh. This is unbelievable.

It is also fascinating that my dad was gifted a clear crystal by a very close native friend of his--someone he was in AA with for many years. They shared a special bond in their mutual sobriety. Before my dad died he passed this crystal on to me. For years and years I wore it around my neck in a little leather bag. I still have it, of course, and most interestingly I have been sleeping with it lately under my pillow.

The universe, is a wonder, isn't it?

ljeanner, You have givin me a very important piece of information! Your Father passed this crystal to you, and you have been sleeping with it under pillow!
Since ancient times, quartz crystals have been used to heal and balance the body and mind. Although this is a well-known and documented fact, only recently have discoveries in science and metaphysics given these ritualistic, eccentric fields a definite systematic basis.
Quartz crystals have six remarkable features. They are able to organize, accumulate, amplify, concentrate, communicate and transform energy and information.
Quartz will transmit information into water if it is brought into physical contact with the water. Once imprinted, information will remain for an indefinite amount of time and literally become a personal applicator for individual use. Because it belonged to your Father, his information and life experience is (imprinted) on the Crystal. (Just like a powerful mini computer).. In fact there are studies being conducted now to use (liquid crystal superstructures) in Super Computers!
Simulations were used to look at the growth of a small nucleus with a particular structure into a larger crystal. It might be expected that the resultant disclination structure would simply reflect the initial nucleus. Surprisingly, one sees instead a rapid proliferation of disclinations forming an amorphous structure. Understanding the complex mechanisms that govern the structures seen will improve the chances of exploiting the technological potential of these fascinating materials.
