    OFF TOPIC-JUICING

Happy Saturday! Just started my juicing odyssey today! I am hoping to lose weight and get healthier.

Started with protein powder, blueberries, flax seeds, greek yogurt and lite vanilla say milk-DELICIOUS! Starting with a fruit smoothie.

Tonight will be kale, fennel and some other stuff I have not figured out yet. I bought the little Nutribullet. It is the bomb! Big enough, powerful enough, well made and easy to clean. Love it.

SO now I'm playing Steely Can really loud and making jewelry. All in all an excellent day

    Hi Ann,

Have a look at the Netflix Documentary, " Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead"
It is the wonderful story of a man on his own personal juicing journey to reclaim his health.

    Highly recommended! :l

I have one on order... I think it might be arriving this week.
I've been using the MagicBullet, but I think the NutriBullet is more powerful?? I know it comes with 2 blades instead of one.

Slaythefear & I have been coaching each other on trying new ingredients in our smoothies. They're delicious!!
Why have I waited so long to make it a daily habit

        Juicing

I think the NutriBullet does have more power, and it does have the 2 blades.

As for chewing-I am going to juice today and tomorrow and then eat solid stuff.

Hey Kradle-I did check that out and that and a guy at work were what prompted me to start.

I have made a ton of jewelry today and danced all over the place, and the day is not over yet LOL

          Ann, you da bomb! :h

I've had a juicer sitting in my cupboard for a few years! I reckon i'm just scared of cleaning the thing! It's a breville. Must fire it up!

I'm thinking that adding oatmeal would be a nutritious way to thicken juice but not sure what it would do to the texture?

              Thanks for starting this Ann.
I've started juicing lately and I'm very keen to be a bit more disciplined with it and make it a daily habit.

I use a Breville too, Guitarista. It's called the juice Fountain and it works pretty well for what I need.

Has anyone done any of Jason Vale's juicing programs? I was thinking of doing the 14 day 'Turbo Charge' one. He certainly looks healthy and full of energy so if he's walking the talk it can't be all bad.

                JUICING

The Breville is really good and so is the VitaMix. But they are too epensive for me and the NutriBullet will serve me well at 1/4 the cost.

BUT my first green smoothie was BAD. I did not have fruit in there to cut the bitterness. Now I have read the book more and realize what I have to do. Tomorrow I am going to Whole Foods and getting some more stuff-goji berries, more fruit, hemp seed and some raw nuts.

I don't this will be something I will start and then stop. I think its going to be great.

I did get a lot of jewelry made today. The new paper bead obsession is going well. You can be surprisingly creative with them.

                Happy Sunday to all.

I love green smoothies. We make smoothies, not juicing too often. My favorite is spinach, frozen peaches, a pear, flax meal, agave, some almonds....almond milk or soy milk yummy

I've got a pulp extractor Omega juicer & also an old VitaMix that I inherited. I think I only tried it once & sprayed juice all over the ceiling! :H:H
Maybe I should dig that out again & give it a try.

Good to hear the Breville's seem to cut the mustard.

Green smoothies have been my way out. Bolt House farm and Odwalla
have pre-made green smoothies that you can buy from most grocery
stores. I use them as a base then i add spinach, broc, mixed berry
or blue berries or mango or strawberry. I add wheat germ and flax seed.
Works best when I take it early in the day and I can feel the effects all day long.
Off to make one right now.

I got a Nutribullet last week...I love it!
Today I made a smoothie with spinach, strawberries, pineapple, blueberries, blackberries and orange. My daughter and I have one per day. I'm with Molly...I need to chew a real meal! Lol
You can add avocado to make it creamier. I'm going to add tomatoes tomorrow to make it like a healthier V8.
I absolutely love the Nutribullet and its sooo easy to clean!
:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:
