tigger's ear issues are ongoing which is why I want the doctor to have a look, it seems cruel that someone should suffer permanent ear ache, especially when it keeps her awake at night
we are a family of crap ears, me and my dad were always getting the gunk taken out of ours....and Morgan had permanent ear problems in the end they fitted grommits to try and help

          Limers stay strong....
I have a drink problem, I have been AF since 15 March 2011 and I am working hard to stay that way

They don't call me Pingu Purple Pants for nothing....

I had to get my tonsils out as a kid - me & my little brother - a job lot :H - 'cos of constant ear ache.
Never looked back really - never colds, sore ears or sore throats .

EMERGENCY TREATMENT : Warm olive oil on cotton wool in the ear works wonders to ease pain.

                      Army Thread Wednesday 27th February

Getting back to last night :

RC posted : For me this quit wasn't for my health - inasmuch as the doc saying i need to or summat like that - nor was it for anyone else... cos as I say no one was complaining about it (well not to my face... and actually prolly not away from it either). So i suppose it is simply for me that I am doing this. Achully... I know it's simply for me - for health of body, mind, spirit soul what have you... But as you say Molls we don't know what tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow brings... I'm just new. Still cultivating my field of sobriety, as it were.

This sums up my quit too - so I struggle still with 'never again will I have an alcoholic drink ' There is no real incentivie like a threat to health or divorce etc. Sometimes I almost wish it was & the decision was out of my hands. As it is I see Mr S waiting for this 'phase' to blow over & I can start drinking again - normal like - not in the house - in the pub
Don't get me wrong I love this sober life and I am hoping that down the line a little more I will make that momentous decision just 'cos I can - but for now it's kinda not ODAT but week to week to see what is thrown at me. But feel I am getting stronger in different situations the longer it goes on.

Sorry for this long winded ME ME ME post - but sure it's some light reading for the Skiverville residents :H:H

I've started clearing out my closet and my bedroom is wrecked FFS.

Limers... what a load of crap all at once. ( I'd be in a shite mood too! Have one of them things... :l

                                Ah, there yer are!

Naw, it's good to put it down in print. IOP is great because we get to bounce stuff like that off each other and the therapist. All I will say on it is that everyone's road is different... it's not a one size fits all... and whatever works to keep YOU on the straight and narrow, even if its different to anyone else's plan, is what you should do...
