              Bird has graciously agreed to take the kettle drums and ancillary percussion parts. Excellent.

              The ukelele players are squabbling like a bunch of jockeys about who's taking the high notes.

              The sopranos are all singing too high. They're horribly sharp and screeching and tottering on their little high heels. The altos are smoking joints and doing the Times cryptic.

              The hired lead guitarist has an issue with fret-buzz ...

              MrG - can you please take some time to attend to this potential disaster?
              Ok, ok.....everyone just CALM down. It's all being taken care of.

              Keith Urban will fill in on lead guitar. (Thanks Keith, i know it's short notice).

              Colleen Hewitt and Tina Arena will help out with the choir,

              And Tommy Emmanuel and James Hetfield (from Mettalica who are visiting) will arrange and conduct the ukelleles.

              Meatloaf and Lionel Ritchie's agents have been on the blower for the last few hours but i've been unavailable to take their calls. Thank dog i was on skype with Nicole when it occurred to me, why not ask if Keith is available.

              It's gonna be grouse!

                Late news Undies.

                Russell Crowe has just rang. He has arranged for a live video feed of Rags playing the bagpipes to be beamed into every Australian loungeroom tomorrow, in sync with the big band and marching ensembles. Rusty will oversee the production under the watchful eye of Bruce Beresford and Fred Schepsi. Graham Murphy has written a dance piece especially for the occassion, and will choreograph the performance!

                            I've been trying to get hold of Tommy Tycho for the Musical Director gig, but he's not answering his phone! I'll give it another hour, otherwise it'll have to be Rex Goh from Hush.
