I just did a bit of a test drive and it certainly has some oomph....cactus bristles and all. I just brushed an arm and its a bit zingy...be interesting to see what the overall result is and will report in...

Ones from either our Australorps or rescue Isa Browns and the other is from either an Ancona, Light Sussex or an Asil....named Bridge, Lilly and Rags respectively...trick is which one is the layer?? Its quite perplexing...
I can recognise who laid which egg in my little flock but only because in the early days I watched them like hawks. When one would vanish into the coop for 20 minutes then re-appear crowing like mad, I'd got and collect their egg. I have 3 Isa Browns and I can tell by the colour and shape who laid what. Rosie hasn't laid in 3 days now - I fear it's moulting season...

Hello LAura - glad you are hanging around! Yes, there are quite a few of us - and there's a whole lot you haven't even met yet:H I dont think it is that we have too much time on our hands though - it is more like, for some of us, this site has saved our lives. So it is a priority to stick around and spend time with people who understand what it is like and avoid the prospect of ever going back there again!

And welcome to Blossom and welcome back to BHOG!!

It's funny, Undies ... here I have one bloke at the tail end of life prepared to pop his clogs and totally calm about the whole deal - and then I have another bloke at the very beginning of his life talking about how stressed and anxious he is. Go figure ...

Sounds like the circle of life Tawny. Just before Mum died she got to spend a day with her newest great grand daughter. My niece told me that she took her all around the rest home showing her off.

Anyway, I reckon your grasshopper sounds like a lovely young man. I'm picking he is a bit on the sensitive and tortured side?? If so, some time at your sanctuary, getting some space and reading some books might be just the ticket.

Funny you should say that Techie .... I was googling yantra mats today!! From what I've gathered from their popularity on this thread, it might just about as important for being acepted into Australia as knowing who Don Bradman is! But I want mine in purple please!!

My back has been quite sore this week, and I thin it might be the chair at work (or at least the way I am sitting in it). Happs, can you recommend some yoga poses? It is my piriformis (sp) muscles and hips and sciatic nerve that are the problem ..... and at the moment my lower back feels all glued up together making it very difficult to move.

The coach surfing doesn't help either ... tomorrow I'm going to find a Westfield and buy a foam squab to come between me and the futon!!

Cheeses techie, get the vernacular right cant you??!! They are "tracky dacks" and it is Bridge that wears them not the Frog :H

And gotta say my friend, that I dont think that either of these women sound like much fun to me :l

Well, I've now been in Sydney for a week. I have succeeded in opening a bank account, but I dont yet have a cash point card to get money out of it. I have, however, been sent not one but two credit cards with credit limits that are far in excess of what I could pay back unless I won Lotto. I have yet to be able to work out how to get a Tax File Number either, given that they want my passport (in original) in order to give me one. I can see that my swimming is going to limited to the pool for the forseeable future as I cant afford to live close to the sea, but fortunately I have a fabulous pool located 57m away from my office! I think I can manage to cope with the commute for the next 6 weeks, but I'll be organising a short term rental to move into for when we get back from the US and it wont be more than 6 stops away from Redfern station! I'm loving staying with my niece and her husband and their wee girl, but I miss Mr B very much. My new work and my new work mates are great, but I have to say that they dont sem to have heard of the concept of POETs day :H

Tomorrow will be the first day in about 6 weeks that I'll have some real down time. I'm planning on a sleep in, answering a backlog of emails, a pedicure, hopefully a massage and some retail therapy, cooking a risotto for my nieces husband who is running a half-marathon on Sunday morning and making preparations for making hot-cross buns on Sunday morning.

Nice to be here Undies - there ave been times during the week that I've felt like crying and going home, but knowing that you are all here too has made it easier :l
Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

As I've said Missy, you're very brave. At times like this I like to think back on all the things I've done in my life, and remember that you are no gutless wonder at all my love. I suppose there were lots of times that you wanted to pack up your bat and ball then too, but you didn't and now look where you are.

Also you have those very lewd skype dates with Mr B to look forward to. Soon I will be able to hack into your laptop and we will all
                        enjoy them...:H:H:H

ANd Missy regarding the TFN, have you got a form? I'm pretty sure you can get them at the Post Office, or is it the time to get there that's the bother?

Evening all...Missy I will have a set of asanas for you tomorrow morning :l

I got kidnapped by the Lamp tonight and taken for date night. Went to Southbank and had a delicious gnocchi with prawns and burnt butter...then guess what we did on the way home??

We went to Bunnings and bought 50 packs of seeds to scatter for my wild green and bean beds...oh and peppermint and hearsease and poppies...sadly we were not the only people there...the Lamp had slipped off his good shoes and trotted around barefoot....he blended in....
