I have more guitars than is decent, and a few amps as well - so we are OK for those at least!

I was thinking that we could reform the MWO blues brothers (and sisters) band and use the royalties to help fund the place.

Seriously tho a MWO meeting place would actually be pretty amazing - there are so many amazing folks on here - imagine the buzz (non-alcoholic buzz of course!!) in that place if we all got together - we could probably power a medium sized city - and sort out most of the world's problems in a single sitting!

I was having a similar conversation with my sister-in-law this weekend. She drinks too but says that she's not as bad as me as she doesn't smoke, therefore I have 2 vices in my life. Yes I know smoking is bad, but so is drinking (to excess). But how many people have got into a fight by having 1 too many fags!!

Hi all... My internet's been down so I just caught this thread. I am so in!!! I promise - as soon as I make my millions from the Lottory I don't actually play, we'll break ground!

Determinator - as for sleeping arrangements - how about having those sleeper train beds attached to the wall. They can be pulled down when needed and put away when not? Or hammocks for that matter!

No idea where this place would be located, but there was a bar by my undergrad university (DC) that actually built a tropical tiki bar in the back - complete with a sand pit and palm trees!!! I also know another place in Pennsylvania that had beach volleyball courts out back. I feel that any endevor should include an outdoor summer themed area with some kind of sand/palm tree/volleyball escape! (which would work nicely with the smoothie bar!)

next question... where do we find a backer?

Can we have Kareoke - oh and absolute NO entry for spouses/family members unless agreed by dominant spouse (MWO'r), a resident Doctor specialising in alcohol with a drop in clinic, psychologist and masseure (all free) - oh, also a resident 'life coach' and a beauty therapist for advice on ageing, might as well have a make-up artist and hairdresser to hand as well for days when we girls need a helping hand. Really like this place.
