I had me fish and chips and the kids hijacked me fine and the laptop so couldn't get on till now - but hey, no AL for me :-)

Now I'm off to bed with me book - feeling very chilled :-)

Where's me manners ? Thank you for welcoming me back with open arms army style - I soooo appreciate it - and love the clean nose joke - made me giggle :-)

Evening all, had a bit of night!

A friend asked me to look in on her friend who is having a hard time with depression and vodka. Dear God what a mess she's in, was absolutely helpless, insisted the cat was dying, he wasn't; said she wants to quit but doesn't know how. Upshot was I rang the alcohol dependency unit and helped her get an appointment which was good; then she passed out, couldn't bring her round so ended up calling the paramedics and going to A&E with her. As soon as she was sober enough she ran out and insisted on going home,

Feel very sad and worried for her as she insisted on being left at home alone; not been in long and feel absolutely drained but too hyped up for bed.

It has reinforced my determination never to drink again, it could so easily have been me plastered with unwashed hair and hanging out of undone jeans with no underwear on.
