    Sorry BHOG - I didn't mean to make light of it if it is really a serious issue where you are.

    But you did entitle this "just to see reactions" and for the majority of us Oz peeps the reaction is pretty much what I said.

    Even for Christians (of which I am one) our view of the apostles is generally one of fond indulgence. The way you might treat a gaga old uncle who is clearly over the hill but you love him anyway.
    There's two ways of looking at the holes in your shoes
    You can dig the ventilation... or you can sing the blues

      I don't think of it as "serious" I think it points out how some people over-value their own views of religion in this somewhat backward state!

              So this "James A Marples' whomever he is, is he a source of power that people actually follow, or is he just reflecting what the general populace thinks?

Now there's a surprise.........just as surprising as men choosing a celibate life as catholic priests, in countries that are homophobic, turning out to have homosexual proclivities

                        Well it is kind of amusing that he would say "the fundamentals of scripture are unchanging" whilst quoting from the New Testament, but hey - each to his/her own. Maybe the "new" bit means something different to some people.

                          I'm past getting my feathers ruffled by the likes of dick heads like that feller. Admittedly it raised one small bit of ire in me when I read the post but, really, an idiot like that is more to be pitied than scolded.

                            I lived in Utah, right on the green river near dinosaur natl monument in a little town called Jensen. the population was 200 or so, and me and two of my friends lived in basically a shack right on the river, there wasn't anyone around for miles, so we swam naked in the river all the time. one day we realized there was a car up on a bluff where there usually wasn't and it continued to be there the next few days (we started wearing swimming suits at that point)...anyway, come to find out the peeping tom was a high up guy in the mormom church.

                            I suppose there are worse places for women to live in this world than Utah, like say oh, the Maldives...
