The best of the best of good mornings to you from the beach pad downunder.

'Tis cloudy, windswept and cool here. Looks like today i'm gonna be....'that guy with the hair'

Off for lunch with a couple of old mates later which i'm looking forward to. Important to be and stay connected with the good people in our lives i reckon.

    Take care y'all.

      Yeah yeah, yo....check 1, 2.

Top of the friday morning to y'all from a sunny happy and healthy beach pad.

Well, i've got some money in me pocket as it happens, which can be a rare thing indeed for your musician/man about town. I think i'll jet around today after a run and check out some P.A. systems to do some solo gigs with, to get some chicks.

      Have a bewdy. Ooroo.

Whoa now -everybody just hold on. This "hot for my teacher" thing -lol.lol. my wife has been teaching 2nd grade for 20 years now and she has former students (male) come and hug her -for long periods of times. Oh well, that is just how the cookie crumbles. JK all. My wife would never leave me for a second grader -right? Oh, and surely not for the parent of the second grader? That is a great song. Thanks for the reminder.

Yes SL and Spirit, i am hot for teacher, and hot for the sober life!

Spirit, i bet your wife feels teaching to be a very rewarding career. A very honourable and criminally underpaid profession like nursing.

'Tis a pearler of a day here at the beach pad. 29c and sky bleu. Noice. Orf into it.

                Take it easy. Ooroo.

"An Australian term meaning "see you latter" it's not to be confussed with goodbye as that is to final. I.e the friendship will continue.
The word is old fashioned so it is generally used by 70 plus yr olds. I have mainly heard it in New South Wales on the Australian East Coast."

Yes G, you are true and correct about the wife and teaching. Her passion and love for teaching little ankle biters is quite incredible.

Now G, I can be quite the word nerd nehw it comes to words that I have not seen before -such as OOROO. As such, I had to look it up and here is what I found:
I like this term - a lot. It does not take much to entertain a mind like mine.

                  So, for now,
                  Cheers mate. Ooroo

                    Lol Spirit.

Yes, Ooroo is an old classic. I am 192 yrs old, so the over 70's thing fits. It's a term you don't hear much among city folk, it's more a country term, still alive and well and used by plenty of young folk in the bush today. I don't know it's origin. Some of our slang comes from English or Irish slang, and Indigenous words.

Another rippa of a day here this sunday morning at the beach pad.

It's interesting. These last few months where i've decided to get sober more seriously (i was ready within this time), i've got all of these facebook requests from long lost cousins and other family. I did mention to my brothers and sis that i was doing rehab earlier this year, so not sure if this news has spread amongst family behind the scenes and they're coming out of the woodwork in active support? The syncronicity is interesting. Either way it's great. I also know that when we take action and make real positive change, there is a ripple effect out into the universe. Energy is an amazing force.

Anyway, band rehearsal today which doubles as a fortnightly catch up with old and sometimes new friends. But first a swim in the blue/green clear waters of the bay, where the chicks, jellyfish and stingrays are waiting, and sometimes it's hard to tell the difference. :congratulatory: Noice.

                    Ooroo.

And G -the reason that I really like the word Ooroo is the fact that it means see you later and not good by.

Now, in further research of Australian -off beat words, I find this entire Australian language thing very interesting. So many dialects and different unique languages combined. Do you know the origination of the term "kangaroo court"? Very interesting. A term often used here in the states that originated in AU.

Top of the morning to all from the beach pad where the luxuries are real, practical, and simple. But i do need a BBQ!

                        Day 139 i think, but who's counting.

Not sure how kangaroo court originated Spirit, but it's a term that's been around for ages to be sure. Interesting it's made it to America.

I might need to rustle up some extra paid work soon. Getting a bit tedious on this student income. lol. Take it easy out there and have a bewdy.
