How can I refuse when you keep looking at me like that! lol.

I see you've changed your mind as to the location. It might take us a couple of days to move the already half finished sauna over to the deck, but, anything for you Mam. Construction underway.

Yay Siren! Congratulations friend. What an achievement! :goodjob:

      Day 11. Bring it on!

        Hi y'all,

It's late afternoon here and it's been a pearler of an autumn day. So peaceful at the beach being a weekday, i.e. no crowds, and a fab jog and dip in the freezing but always rejuvenating sea. Feeling good. I hope all's well out there.

Laying some more bricks. (suppose i'd better get that damn sauna finished otherwise i'll never hear the end of it).

        L8tr, Yo!

I've been eyeing up every Groupon that comes across for trips to Australia that include airfare (because that's the only way I'll be able to justify spending the money, honestly). When is the best time to visit, G-man? I'd be sticking to the south side as I have friends in Adelaide, too.
Well it's all right now. I've learned my lesson well. You see you can't please everyone, so you've got to please yourself.

            Hi Siren,

If you're talking southern parts of the country, like where Adelaide is, probably spring time which begins around September. Probably a good time would be October/November. Or Autumn, around March/April. Summer might get a bit hot in Adelaide, i.e. a few 40c days....

            Have you been here before?

Nope, never been but it's on the top of my list now. I nearly made it towards the end of 2011 but the flight times wouldn't get me back to Mumbai in time to fly home. The friends in Adelaide are from Newcastle and I visited them there many times. They have been in Oz since about 2007 and have been pestering me to visit ever since. When I come out I want to be able to spend a good 3 weeks at least as it's not just down the street and I won't likely get back anytime soon.

Cool. Spend even longer if you can. You have to explore the outback, and some of the coastline. Either way, sounds like it'll be great to catch up with your friends again.

Well, they'd expect me back to work at some point. We in the US, at least on the East Coast, aren't used to taking much vacation. One or 2 weeks max is the norm. It's just not part of the culture. Even if we do take the time, our identity is so tied up in our work that we end up working during vacation. Pitiful, really.

Hiya DG!! I'm always looking for a travel buddy, just saying.

                        Yo Niner,

I pm'd Bald bloke about 2 weeks ago wondering where he was. He told me he was very busy with family and flat out at work, but said he's okay. I haven't seen him since though. Bald bloke, hope things are good with you. Drop in anytime.

Just getting the ground level to build on dear!

In other news, all very good here.

                        Day 12. Bring it on!

I know!! I have not had any time off since the end of November 2012. It's no wonder I'm ready to rip my hair out.

No idea when I could come out. I have a week at the beach at the end of June and I'm going to Costa Rica at the end of November. I'd like to fit another trip in around September sometime, but it won't be a long trip. If I want to spend any time there it wouldn't be until 2014, which is why I was asking when the best time to visit there would be.

Straya will still be here. Glad you're taking a couple of breaks. I haven't been to Costa Rica as yet. Must get my band fired up and do some touring henceforth and forthwith.

Off to the Jim/run/swim then working on a new web based project with a couple of ace chic's.
