    The house that G built.

    Morning y'all from downunder.

Nice to see you June, and right on there sister.

Hey Sam. Motorcycling is the best. My old bike can still throw the odd flame through the exhaust pipes. I have a little chuckle those rare times it happens.

Yo Niner! But are the chicks for free? Some are worth building a sauna for though, to be sure. :h

Have a great rest of the week everyone. All good here.

your avatar sure can throw the flames!! I've got a couple 70's Beemers. Nothing fast, but fun to ride. Knowing nothing about Australia, are there fun mountain roads to ride?

You betcha Sam. Lot's of nice mountain and country rides nearby. Can only legally do 110 kph, but there are some quiet stretches where you can open up the throttle. I love old bikes. I like some of the bigger beemer touring bikes too. They have some good raps. Mine is a 73 hog, rigid frame. Putts along quite nicely, but a bit too much vibration at higher speeds.

All good here folks. Hope all's well out there.

        Take care.

my first bike when I was in high school was a 55 hog. It needed a lot of work but fun to ride. The last time I took it apart, I never put it back together. Now I wish I still had it. Bought my 1st beemer in 84 and not had to do much of anything to it. Runs good but the gas quality is an issue.

Ok, Mr. G, have time to catch up on favorite threads and saw that it has been way too long since this one was bumped up. Point of disclosure -- I rode my bicycle around Tasmania almost three decades ago. You probably weren't even born then!

I'm plodding along on my AF path -- today (Oct 1) is day 75 for me. Can't think too far into the future -- for now I have my sights set on reaching 90 days. Will probably stop counting sometime around then, with a goal of just living an AF life.

            Catch you later, mate.

              Hi FAL,

A Tassie bike ride? You legend!

Please forgive the momentary lapse in transmission ladies and gent's. Our host has been wandering in the nearby desert for a while. We expect his return forthwith and henceforth. Please buckle up, hold on, and brace for his most likely thunderous and enthusiastic return.

Kind regard's, Brian. G bloke's P.A. (whilst Finbar is away on annual leave).

                Hi G-Man!

I don't have any opinions on Bikes or Hogs...but I do think you are absolutely wonderful! :h:h

                Love,

p.s. Well come to think of it, I was riding on the back of a motorcycle once (drunkenly of course) and almost fell off on the freeway. Jeez, thanks for bringing up THAT memory. LOL

Yeah, Tassie was incredible but I had to battle those wee kangaroos -- wallabies who gathered around my tent at night (no money to stay in hotels, camped wherever we landed each night). It was lovely. People took us (my DH was with me) into our homes, probably feeling sorry for the crazy Americans.

Been on a motorcycle only once in my life. But who knows, there may still be some adventure left in this old gal, and I'll try it again.

Keen to hear about your desert adventures.

                        Hiya FAL and Niner!

Sorry for my absence. I have had a rocky road at work recently, but it'll work out. Nice to see you.

                        I'll be back real soon.

                          The house that G built.

                          Greetings friends,

I am back in the game. I have allowed work issues to derail me the last few weeks, but i'm over them. The issues are still hanging, and should be resolved next week one way or another, but i'm over letting it upset me anymore. If i become unemployed, that's ok, i can survive and i'm prepared for the worst case scenario. Nothing can hurt me anymore, because right now, my personal health and sobriety are what's important to me, and my sobriety is now front and centre before everything. And you know what friends? It feel's really liberating and real cool.

The eye of the tiger, and the take no prisoners heavy metal mofo attitude with the gratitude is back. I am angry, but using it as a positive energy for self care.

Put some ocean in that motion y'all, and just do your best friends.
