The house that G built.
Hiya everyone,
Thanks for your compliments and good wishes, however.....
Well Team, it's back to the drawing board for me. I've allowed the shenanigans at work derail me, but only slightly. No huge downhill bender or such here, as it truly is not what i want to do, and i see a solution and have put one forward. Probably cause i love the work so much, then to deal with management barriers and to me, the trivia, has been difficult. But, don't panic. I'm chilled here and optimistic, and when they hopefully approve me to cut back my hours at the job (otherwise i'll likely just resign from weekday job and keep weekend job) I'll be there less and be able to recharge and refocus. I'm trying not to resign, but we'll see what options present themselves from their perspective next week i hope. Anyway, full time study has begun and i'm loving it.
Sorry to be a repetitive bore, but it helps to write it out in a cool place like here. Ultimately, all ok here within to a degree. (Orf the turps). It was not dealing with the very emotional place i have been/am in, maybe more constructively. Want to see what next working week brings. Anyway, i'm back in the arena and i'll just get today and tomorrow out of the way, and i'll be off.
Take care. Have a pearler y'all.

Your cheerful posts have been missed the last few weeks, Mr. G., but that is just one side of you. I hope you can take the risk and let us know more of you and give us the chance to SUPPORT YOU as you do everyone here. We won't be able to match your style but it would be an honor to allowed to truly help. I'm glad you came back :l . NS

Hi, again. A couple of us were posting this link all over MWO last week. Here on MWO is one of the few times in my life I've done something like what the speaker recommends and it has made all the difference. Now I need to be working on my offline life and the skills and friends I've gained here are empowering me to do it.

I did, too, and also with her 2nd TED talk on shame - I hadn't previously appreciated the distinction between it and guilt.
I'm happy for you that you are feeling good about starting again. I hope I would have the courage to return - I greatly admire everyone who does, including you.
Good night, NS

Good morning # 2 to you, Mr. G.
I enjoyed chatting with you and you are right, it takes guts for each of us to come here and try to save ourselves from a powerful foe. I doubt any of us would have chosen this battle, but it is teaching me important things every day.
The #1 lesson is that I can't do this, or many other things, as well alone as I thought I could. Admitting need and accepting help are tough ones - but practice helps .
Enjoy your Sunday - I hope you can use it to ready yourself for whatever the workweek brings.

Dear Mr. G, a quick note to know I understand about work stress and the impacts it can have. Good thing is you are back. I think you may have said that to me one or two times

Good morning No sugar and Free at last from a grey and overcast downunder. However, it is not overcast in my heart. Thanks for being here. :h
No panic here. Got a cool day ahead making music with my band, and other good stuff.
Will be good to get into the coming work week and sort out a few things.
Have a great weekend y'all.

Hey G-man. Sorry I wasn't here for you yesterday. You sound good and strong. I know you got this, even if you occasionally stumble.
Remember - when you stumble, you're still moving forward.Well it's all right now. I've learned my lesson well. You see you can't please everyone, so you've got to please yourself.

Hi GMan
I had 50 days AF under my belt, tried to moderate (some success and some excess) then quit again and caved on day 16 after a stressful week :-( There is no point dwelling on it though is there? We just need to put it behind us and move on.. You have inspired me to do this.
Are you going to count the days again? I am not sure if this helps me or not?!
