Hey, you sure are winning! Had a great day today. Helped mum with some stuff then dropped in on nephews, niece and SIL. Wow, they were so welcoming and happy to see me. I feel i'm back in the race as a 'family' man lol. I was a bit nervous beforehand, but we all had a nice chat and hang out together.

Mr. G - I posted this on another thread, but thanks so much for that TEDx talk. I really meant a lot to me - I have been sensitive my whole life and realize that alcohol has been helpful for me to not feel quite so vulnerable. It really got to me - I had a good cry (cleansing) and thought a lot about what she said. Thanks for sharing!

Congrats - you must be at 70 days now. Those pearls are getting long - you'll look like Mr. T soon. Great that you had fun with your family, too.

No worries Pav, thanks. I'm not quite as handsome as Mr T though. 70 days tomorrow, early evening here. I am a super sensitive soul too. I think a lot of us are. I agree with what Melton was saying about 'just showing up' for life. It's ok to be sensitive and to work with it. I'm glad you related to her talk. It spoke deeply to me too, so i suspected it would to others.

You are coming up to 30 AF eh? How cool is that. Keep it going.

The morning of NYE here. Have an invite to go out, which sounds good. Just got to be careful i'm not roped into by default, ferrying around a few drunks till who knows what hour! hehe. I don't mind getting people home, but not from party to party in chaotic traffic at this stage of my sobriety just yet.

Am giving ye ol bike a spring clean at the mo, so she's off the road currently. I might catch a tram to meet up with folk. Or i could jog.

A relaxing long walk/run/swim in the rain after attending an AA meeting just for a recharge.

I hadn't been to this one before. Friendly folk as usual. A few people really struggling by their own admission when they shared. And a few looking content and relaxed. Booze is so enslaving and disempowering. There's no place for it in my life today. Me, i am happy and grateful,..........most of the time.
