      a bit of extra supa glue should fix the toupe problem. I'd like to run to my car and drive home although Fitzroy this afternoon to the dentists for my son so an early day today thank god.

        It's great to see you too! I'm doing better. Have a few days under my belt again so that's a start.
        I wish there were programs like that around here, I would be interested in checking it out!

        Goal 1: 7 days :heartbeat:
        Goal 2: 14 days :happy2:
        Goal 3: 21 days :happy2:
        11/27/19: messed up but back on track
        12/14/19: bad doozy but back on track

          Good to hear Nursie.

          The core of this 6 week program i'm doing is Cognitive behavioural Therapy (CBT) and some motivational stuff. Also relapse prevention strategies. The main focus seems to be on our thinking and learning that we have other options not just destructive ones, and how to get ourselves in the habit of thinking in a better way. Maybe there's something like this near you? Anyway, i'll be sure to report on it all here from next week on.

            Hi Mr. G, glad to see that you are in this program. Eager to hear about your experiences, especially the yoga and meditation. I'm on the road, working our way out to the American West (after hanging out with family and friends in New England and Midwest). Been AF all of June and feeling good. Not losing weight though, the American Midwesterners are into ice cream

              Free - Californians into icecream too! Hot choc sauce with mine - and the muffin top is fast heading to a jumbo one, need to get it back to a mini if I can't remove it all - have a beach vaca with two teenage girls in a couple months - got to do something:H

              Looking forward to hearing about your research G - I have been looking into yoga. never done it but it might just be time...

                Haven't read back but is this a SMART based program Mr. G? SMART makes a lot of sense to me.

                  Hi G., don't come here usually, but sending you positive thoughts.

                  I wonder if you know how many people you uplift every day? You are a special man and I feel as if someone has put a warm blanket over me when I read your posts. Just wanted to tell you that.

                  Having some people issues today, but trying to tell the people I lurve, how special they are. People issues are from crap people, so turning this around.

                    Hope all is well. I am interested in CBT - I think that mindfulness and gratitude are such a big part of that. I agree with Skendall - a big warm blanket (although it is summer here, so maybe I'll say a long, tall glass of water...)

                      Shake that muffin top SL! Ya gotta move it to lose it. I like the stretching aspects of yoga and getting more flexibility. The inner stuff will be cool too. It's once a week for 6 weeks, so i'll get a bit of a taste.

                      Hey ADub. Not a SMART program, and not 12 step. The program is only a couple of years old and i'm sure takes the best performing elements of many treatment approaches, but mainly CBT. It won an award for best booze and drug treatment program in Australia in 2011, so i think it's cutting edge and probably combining what we know works.
