Delia's recipe called for sparkling rose, sugar and gelatine. I bought a super low alcohol rose. But, next time I'd use jelly. It was very popular and the kids liked it.
The adults left with leftovers. Quite simple to do.. arrange your fruits, but arrange bottom layer nicely as it will be the top when you flip it out. Have 2 tins same size ... put gladwrap on top of your mix, then the other tin, then weigh it down with a couple of tins of tomatoes (or the paver) .
Chill for about an hour.
Keep about 150 ml of the liquid to warm up then pour on top of the mix after an hour... that gives you the base. Pop back in fridge. Use hot knife dipped in water to slice. Serve with greek yoghurt creme fraiche or cottage cheese.
I'll have some berry stuffy stuff too please Rags.
. Princess Dharma bit the blind man yesty. Well, he wasn't blind, he was giving us a quote for blinds....plantation shutters actually.
Now wouldn't that be something... a blind man doing measure and quotes.
Speaking of which I finally had to get Mr Rags to ring the guttering man to come back and fix the job I had paid him to do but he didn't fix it. I have phoned a number of times and he kept putting me off. Mr Rags said he's coming Friday morning.

I really appreciate that he makes me a cup of tea every single morning, no matter what, and it doesn't take much to make me happy.
