Did you Undies know Tiger airways were having a $10 sale?Tiger Airways
I've never flown them and only experience is from the TV shows, so don't know how much of a "bargain" it would be, but can you go wrong for $10?! (A quick stock up at Melbourne markets, Bridge/Happs?)

    )
I was going to say dont touch Tiger Airways with a barge pole, because I thought that they had had a plane crash last week, but I checked the web and it was Lion Air. Getting my big cats mixed up :H

I'm tired and going to have a shower and bed after a really shitty day.

        Good morning Undies, morning Reggie.

Sunshine to-day so will do the weeding I missed yesterday.

Anyone know nice, not too expensive accommodation in Melbourne?
Told Mr Rags I'd booked flights as a surprise for him, and he asked if I'd booked accommodation.

Now, other than fantastic restaurants, what is there to do in Melbourne for 2 1/2 days?

Hope my yantra mat arrives to-day.

Missy when I started to read your post I thought Bugger, as we're booked to fly to Brizzie for June long weekend, and yesty I booked flights to Melbourne.... I could not, however, find ANY $10 deals.

        Happs, I missed Kevin. Damn.

            Happy Friday my loveliest peeps!

Beautiful morning here at postcode 2145 and at 2147 as I left la palazzo.

BUT, I've got a problem.... It is doing my head in and I'm worried my reaction now I've stewed over it for a couple of weeks may not be a good one.

Anyway, the place across the road sold about a month ago. Nice People left and The Unknowns are now in residence. FH and the Nice People man got along like a house on fire....but, then again, FH talks to everyone! I don't!!!

One weekend after The Unknowns came I noticed that a car was parked right in front of our house. When I first came home I thought I had a visitor and last weekend my daughter and I came back from our long walk and she asked who was always parked in front of our house. I told her I thought it was The Unknowns but I wasn't certain. My notice the neighbours
radar has been on full alert since, and The Unknown parks immediately in front of our place at approx 9.25 each evening and leaves during the day at an unspecified time. Unspecified because we aren't there to witness departure time. They must then walk across the road and down the driveway to their home. Of course FH has noticed it and had mentioned it but I hadn't taken any notice of his rants. The Unknown parks and doesn't move ALL weekend and if we have visitors they have to park up or across the street because The Unknown's car is smack bang in the middle of where anyone else could park....

FH has been trying to 'catch' The Unknown in the evenings to ask that he/she park outside of their OWN house but has missed them all week. Sure enough, this morning when I peeked out there the car was right in the middle of the front of our place. It will now stay there ALL weekend.

So, wise Undies, what will I do?? Will I leave a note on the windscreen this arvo? Will I go and knock on their door and ascertain if they are indeed the culprits. The space outside our place isn't really OUR own personal property so they could tell me to eat cake. Which I would do 'cos I a.d.o.r.e cake... BUT, I'm cheesed off..... I'd never permanently park in front of someone's place when there is perfectly good road right out the front of my own place!! WTF??

            Am I being psycho??

Thanks in advance for your wise thoughts.....

Love and love and more love than you can manage on this gorgie day!!! :l:h

I would try the nice neighbor, knock on the door with a plate of cookies or something, see if there is a reason they park there...
or just leave a note on the windshield.

I'd leave a nice polite note on the windshield Nice one.
                  No success?
Maybe Oscar could 'guard' their car?????

Nicey, I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings but its a public street. And these days most people will just tell you to sod off...but I do get your sense of own space. Its like going to an empty beach and someone plonks their towel right on top of you...ffs...now dont get me started...Actually have a cross the road neighbor who does park in front of their own place but directly across from our driveway...I'm scared I'll smash my car one day getting it out...sod their car btw...:H

Maybe the cookies like BHOG suggested?

Hotel Accommodation Melbourne, Melbourne City Hotel Accommodation, CBD Melbourne Hotel accommodation

We stayed here. Reasonable price, rooms nice and clean, very central, walk to most stuff and Haigh's chocolates right on the doorstep (just saying, completely irrelevant) Staff helpful.

You MUST go to Queen Victoria markets but I won't start my rant again. You have just missed the Melbourne International Flower and Garden show and so did I.
There's an old original Art Deco arcade on Swanston with a lovely breakfast eatery in it and a flirty little man. Gorgeous breakfast. And you must get to Lygon St for dinner. My God!
Federation Square of course and a nice walk along the Yarra to see the rowers.

Off to GBoy's neighbourhood at St Kilda. Take an empty stomach and hit Ackland St.
Go to the St Kilda community garden in behind the main street (signposted) You'd love that, it's got some great ideas in it.

Go for a tapas somewhere. Yum!

Nicey - that's my bugbear too! Neighbours would do it all the time, so I would take to parking on "their" spot before them (leaving my car out of our driveway; nose, face, spite, anyone!) I'd get so worked up, but as Happy says and as I'm told often, it's not my street! Do you have sprinklers connected to a bore that could rot their car?

Lovely Sheezecake recipe, Happs. What's up with your colon?!
Might actually do some baking as internet useless here.

Yeah, I reckon I'll go with a nice enough note on their windscreen this arvo.

I don't want to have a face to face and have them point out that I don't own the street - of course I already intellectually grasp that. It's the whole 'towel on my spot of the beach' thing.

Speaking of colons....I mentioned the other day I had gut gas and it hasn't subsided. I wasn't in much discomfort but it's ramped up over the last two days and I'm pretty uncomfortable today. I do reckon it is stress.....my gut goes nuts when I'm heading towards the wall. I've always had gut probs. I ended up in hosp here once and all the students came for a sticky because I had a perforated duodenal ulcer. Fusk that hurt.

Gotta get FH over his op, get my workload down a bit, and then take some time out!!

My anger management plan is always to keep it locked down. FH is the absolute opposite and he is like a pressure cooker gone wrong and spurts his little wobbly thingy when he's lost it. I wish I could be more like that. I'm more like a slow cooker, stew, stew, stew......but it can't be good.

Lovely to see you Blondie. Hope the useless internet isn't long term. It's good to have you popping in and out.

Tawny must be out and at it. Don't think she's collecting firewood though.

Bridge - Oscar is doing the sad face trick when we say it's time to go out at night. Soon we'll surprise him and tell him we have a bed for him inside.... He'll go ape over that!!!

                                Laters babes!
It is not what we do, but how much love we put into the doing.
