    Morning Haps

Thank you so much for the PMs yesterday!!
    That really helped

I'm glad I don't have do all that late night driving around yet..... Well we don't actually have a car either.

The little blossom is still at grandmas after Mr Blossom and I had a date last night. Grandma just lives downstairs, so little Bloss will just come home when she's ready. I'm just hoping grandma feeds her breakfast first.

      Really????!!!!!!

Sheesh.... I must have slept through it :H
Hmmm..... There have been more little earthquakes these last few days. It can be quite disconcerting when it's quite slight and you think "is that me or is the room shaking?"

          Morning all,

Look, sites go down from time to time. It was human error of course. Someone went to upgrade from html 5 to html 6 and didn't update yer Lan and yer Wan in the process. It's a common error these days and nothing to worry about, though I blame the colleges these kids get sent to. There's too much theory and not enough focus on socialising, living skills, nutrition, and football. These things usually occur on average once every 5 years, so we can rest easy.

Big gig tonight. I'll probably be transporting various drunks home. On the positive side, there will be crumpii in attendance. I should've changed me guitar strings yesterday, and a bit hesitant to change them today. Beaut swim yesty. Hi Missy. Would be interested in your comments re worksafe. I sure have more to say! more @gbloke

G - I did a long post yesterday which obviously didn't make it through the technical difficulties But the short message was that I was impressed with how quickly they visited (it would have been 4+ months in NZ) and that they took the issues seriously. I'm a bit hot under the collar about H&S issues these days having spent quite a bit of time working on them recently.

The thought of losing you all as cyber-friends in the event of a fatal site crash distresses me :l

Just to keep you all up to date with my international movements I am commuting in between Sydney and Wellington at the moment and it will go on until the end of April. For anyone that thinks its sounds exciting I can assure you that it isn't. It leaves me permanently tired, but I am still sorting out stuff with Mum's estate and packing up the house - lots of stuff got left undone when she died and needs to be sorted although I am just about there.

6 May Mr B and I fly to Atlanta for a six week holiday in the US ..... I am holding myself together in anticipation of some proper relaxation. We start with visiting my brother, then a week tootling up through the Appalachian mountains before 4 days in NYC. Then a nephews's wedding in up-state NY, a week in Boston with Mr B's cousin and tootling down through the Carolinas. LAst stop Vancouver, where we will visit some very good friends and go to out of the way places in a motor home. I am starting to get excited!! I really need a good break after the events of the last few months

Aaah.... Just felt like we had an earthquake with the back to school rush this morning.

School year starts in April here, so this is the first day of 4th grade for the little blossom. Running round making sure we had everything... Running back to get the indoor shoes and the fire protection hood( I'll never remember those automatically:H) House looks like it threw up school books and supplies.

Gotta get myself ready to be a nice lady PTA representative at a neighbouring schools entrance ceremony. Japanese schools are good at combining ceremonial and boring very well... wish me luck!

G'day Missy, (warning everyone. boring post ahead. please ignore)

4 + months to respond? Jeepers. In victoria, as health and safety rep (HSR), I have the authority to issue whats called a P.I.N. notice (Provisional Improvement Notice) which by law, my employers must respond to as do worksafe. This is a fairly serious move, and I can also issue a timeline for compliance, in this case, it was 7 days. A PIN notice is downloaded from the worksafe site and is a last resort really, when conversations with employers are at a stalemate, and you as HSR still believe there is an outstanding issue. In my employers case, they don't lease the hallway (it's shared) where a fire exit sign needs to be installed, so they told me it's not their responsibility. My concern was that our staff and clients use this hallway, so I don't care who's responsibility it is, find out and take action. They were too slow in getting a solution, so worksafe encouraged me to issue a PIN and I did. Now, PIN is withdrawn, as worksafe and I agree my employer doesn't hold the lease/management control over this area, but w/safe are going to find out and tell the responsible party (landlord?) that fire exit sign must be installed in this area. The great thing for me is that my call has been backed and validated by the peak health and safety authority, and they, and an independent audit by another surveyor my org had done last week agree our new building is not totally compliant with local building codes. Bravo!

Safe travels Missy, and take care of yourself.

Thank dog a few innocent comments about html coding from Jonesy recently gave the MWO tech heads an 'Ah ha' moment.

                        It's a beautiful, beeeeewdiful day.

Great stuff G!! PINs were not included in our legislation despite overwhelming evidence about their effectiveness. I'm sure the next lot of regulatory changes will include them though. I look forward to a long discussion with you at some point about the H&S rep system
