Just back from taking Nigel to a CWA (Country Women's Association) meeting where he was invited to be a guest speaker. Now I would have been shutting bricks because these women are scary but Nige handled it with all the skill and aplomb of a seasoned entertainer and they throbbed him. Enough to send him home with a wonderful assortment of home-baked goodies. Good women.

It is Francis Urquhart, not Underwood. The name needs to be Urquhart because of the plot line between him and Prince Charles and the hatred of Francis of the English in general and the Battenburgs in particular. Take a look at the link below..

Tawny, virtually nothing has sprouted yet due to the crazy weather but it will soon and I will post a few pics.

Just had a lovely chat with my next door neighbours (who gave me some goggy eggs) and neighbours across the street. I've invited them for morning tea next week. (It's working Happs).

Back to my visitors.. we took them to dinner at Wingello general store. I'm sure they won't forget it. John our mate took them for a spin on the trike... got a 1.6 Ford motor in it .





Then it was down to Canberra to join the thousands of people celebrating the 100th anniversary of our nation's capitol....




Geez what a city of excitement!!



So after staring at the water waiting for the entertainment we went to the lookout... it was just as thrilling.

Raggsy hearing the latest decisions of the buddhist committee meeting.....



Next morning we went to Parlt. Sq. to watch the balloons...

Wow, 7 mile beach, that was my toilet stop on the way down the coast to see Mum and Dad....

Rephrase necessary there - the public toilets situated at the car park...then we'd continue our journey...

Lovely pics as usual. The head in hands statue reminds me of our famine memorial statue on the quay in Dublin, will see if I can find a pic.

Well of those that I can remember I have planted in the past six months: bamboo, hostas, fatsia, bergenia, lupins, salix, spindle, roses several types, sycamore, beech, ash, portuguese laurel, photinia, magnolia stellata, dogwood and tons of different types of spring bulbs.
