    Underoos - April Autumn Undies

We need to know ... what was the event that required an up do? That's gotta be important. Don't hold back on us now Happs.

Pulling the pin early tonight Undies. Be well and sleep gently. Special head pat for Oscar and Olive.

Bit of a formal shin dig for middle locust that I wanted to look better than average in pics for. Also was at hairdresser losing my grey and she offered to up-do me....slipped on the black condom dress and tada! instant old spunk!

      Night Tawns. Lovely dreams...

Now listen Bridget. If radical lifestyle change is necessary here, then ramp it up and do it. Start now. Take care of yourself mate. :l

Look Froggy. I know what a scone is. I like the blueberry scone once in awhile from Panera Bakery. I have a friend named Bill. His nickname is Biff. Not making any connection there. I'm wearing a sweat band. It is a high tec material with an internal gutter that allows the sweat to channel away from ones eyes. I tend to wear that under my hat while hiking, biking, synchronized swimming, kayaking, and sometimes during other activities. Where I ask you, do you see anything that suggests bandage anywhere in that photo. I will tell you this, The only place I wear a bandage IS due to you but its internal. Next question?

Feeling smug tonight. My neice's 3.5 year old has been throwing tantrums at bed time every night for the last week. Tonight was the last night that they get free baby-sitting so I encouraged them to go out and have a good time (and try for a younger sibling for the 3.5 year old :-)) They were worried about leaving me with young Missy who has been a horror over the last couple of days

Young Missy was an angel - after the cup-cake for afternoon tea, we did a jigsaw puzzle, then she watched Dora the Explorer while I made dinner which was entirely made of vegetables. Pudding was a banana and yoghurt after which she want peacefully to bed.

All you parents out there can feel free to chuck tomatoes at me :H:H But I quite like having my "favored aunty" status remaining intact with the next generation :-)

We have the privilage of our granddaughters a few times a week. I always enjoy them, they arre good children. I tell the parents, hey, they are ALWAYS good for us.
why? we listen to them, ask questions, believe in them. support them. Granny and grandpa allow them to "be". no fakeies need apply.

Kids are great until you find the banana stashed down the lounge for "later"...:H

Seriously though Missy and BHOG I would have loved to have someone like you as a constant in our kids lives while they were young. Wasn't to be, so you just have to do the best you can.

It is a gorgeous day here Undies. Going to do a home day today coz we were out all day yesterday with kids sport.

Wonder how Nicey's dinner party went last night?

                    Morning Happs and ATC

Re Kids - when I had Grasshopper staying with me I told him some life stuff which he later enthusiastically repeated to his parents. They said "but we've been telling you that for months" to which his reply was "yeah, but coming from you it's just white noise". ...

Dying to hear how Nicey's lovely dinner went too.

Bit chilly down here - typing with glovelings on.

That is EXACTLY right. I said to a friend yesterday that you need to drop the need to run any advice like a meeting - ie agenda, agreement, conclusion. You have to let some things float...

Gorgi day here too after monsoon like conditions yesterday. Agenda for the day is several loads of washing, a walk in the bush and BBQ this arvo with all the nieces and nephews, some of whom are up from Melbourne. Life is good

TF - I think I had the same attitude as grasshopper when I was his age :l

As much as I have regretted not being able to have kids of my own, I treasure the relationship that I have with many of my nieces and nephews and now with their kids. And like BHOG says, there is something about "being family but not a parent" that seems to work.

Yeah, Nicey, we want a report on how FH coped with all your friends :H
