Lest we forgot.
Think it gets sadder every year seeing the old Diggers... but lots of people out at our local dawn service which was great.
Rags - I watched Eat, fast online - very interesting but I stopped my self from rushing to get my IgGs tested! Mick on the daily abs thread was doing this (or similar fasting) with good results. Dr Mick (on the TV) didn't look too unhealthy or old. I'd hate to see my readings :-)
Tawny, please tell me your lovely loaf had a crusty crust. Why can't bakers make a crusty bread anymore?
Tech - hugs to you and your mum.:l

Hellllooooo my favourite peeps!!
Well, here I am at the command desk. The hair yanker hasn't left me alone since I left the joint... Have a jobbie to do then back into my nurse uniform...
FH's op went well. Much more damage than was anticipated and the night after his op he was saying he had no clue what all the fuss was about, it's a walk in the park. Just nuisance factor - no pain to speak of. I left him to it (and thanked the Universe I wasn't going to be there when the drugs wore off) and got home in time to watch MKR then straight into bed. I was zorsted.... I couldn't even use my lappie. I only managed a quick happy birthday to Missy and it shut down.
So, picked FH up yesty morning and the tune was completely different. It had reached a squeaky crescendo and was quite scratchy in parts. Off to get button up shirts on the way home. FH screeches that he WILL NOT buy an XXXL because it goes against everything he is.... OK. We purchase 3 XXL shirts get him home and a few hours later he wants to change and attempts to squeeze into his new shirts. Oh my, what a suuuurrrrrprise - they don't fit. I go and return them for the appropriate size and manage to steal two bottles of nail polish because you can no longer return items at the front you must hike it all the way to the back of the store to Lay-Buy. I popped the bottles in my bag, (I grabbed them when I went scooting past) when I had to use FH's card to do the return and re-purchase. Just found them when I went to get coffee early this morning. I should go back and confess....might on the way home.
Not much sleep was had by FH or myself. He finally went back to sleep at 6.30am so I got up did the washing, take Oscar for a play and a poop and cooked FH some breakfast. Last night I put a pillow on his lap because I thought it would be easier for him to have his bowl of ice-cream resting on it rather than on the arm of the lounge. He squeaks and screeches that he didn't ask for it, get it away from him and wait until he asks for things in future. Suffice to say I roooly roooly wanted to smoother him with it. He ate his ice-cream and I double dosed him and made him go to bed. So far today no screeching or squeaking. First shower and shave complete without drama. New trackpants I purchased whilst alone fit purfectly but he isn't keeping them because they are XXL and he only ever wear L or XL when he is feeling in a sloppy mood. I reckon the guy has physique delusion happening big time. Ok I say, throw them out when you don't need them...
Oscar is just the most beautiful dog I've even known. Little Dharmsie has a large lump on her little leg. I looks like a warty thing but I'll have to get it checked. Princess Lilly isn't taking any shit from FH and stayed firmly wedged near his head ALL night. I smirked at that....
Hope all is well with your mum Techie. FH's Nan has had to go back to hospital after being home only for two days. Her hip op is giving her enormous grief. This ageing process isn't nice.
Salute to Mr G.
Happs - so sad about your chookies. Thanks for the PM!!
Tawny - love your bread. I hope you're experiencing the gorgie weather we are enjoying here at various postcodes.
Bridge - my Dad always marches in the big Sinny parade. My kids go to the dawn service with him and bring him safely home after 'breakfast'. They are all on their way back now.
Hey Blondie.
I was wondering the other day where and how Cori, Lilly, Reggie, Cakes and Blossom are. Love to all of you and hope life is good.
Bird - how did you know what go? I haven't had time to read back properly and I spose you've answered this question.
Anyway, had best get this stats job done so I can make my exit. Then again.....I'll make the most of the weather me thinks and potter around the yard.
Hugs to everyone. Love yas lots!!!!
Your girl, Nicey. It is not what we do, but how much love we put into the doing.

We got up at 3:30 to go to Greenwell Point.
The Navy contingent (about 15 Lt. Commanders and Lieutenants and a few OR's ) showed it to the Army contingent.......
When turning to face west, the army gave the order "Right Turn".
The Navy gave the order "Right Turn", then "Left Incline", which had them perfectly facing West. They then did a simple "About Turn" to face direct East, then a "Right Incline " to face back to the Catafalque...
The Senior Service just has more experience......... with most things.........
After the service we strolled past the fishing trawlers to the picnic area,
where we cooked a lovely brekky.... bacon, eggs, mushroom, chevaps, tomato and fresh rolls.
With more light and the crowd gone.... it's a fairly new memorial replacing the old one (obviously).
With the day still young we thought we'd see if we could get to Drawing room rock at Barren Grounds but missed the turnoff so went for a lovely drive till the road ran out.
Not quite Kangaroo Valley it is the tail end of it sort of but.
On the road near Wattamulla
