It should have been my dads 87th birthday today - so it's going to be a grand day

Pingu we have a wee birds nest in the loft. The Ma bird always makes one and it's quite luvverly hearing the baby birds hatching. I'd miss them if they weren't there.

Why do I wake up at this time? Gah... too feckin much...

OK, I was just reading the end of yesterday's thread, and as the resident "abused wan" on ye olde Army thread I am not too content with going ons! So... Questy, would you like me and Satz to kick his arse or will you save us the bother and tell him to back the fuck off the next time he gets his big abusive head on him? Really. Fuck THAT shit! You do not need to take it and it's great to stand up for yourself and tell anyone... man, woman.... anyone that is riding yer to fuck the hell off!

Can you tell you got me started on summat? lol...

I've been there and done it and got the t-shirt. Even have appendages that don't work as well as they would have done if some arsehole hadn't fired up on me. But (lol, ask Starty) I don't take ANY guff from anybody now and I sincerely wish and hope that you'll do the same Questy. When you have respect for yourself, the rest of them follow suit. Call it smoke and mirrors or fake it till you make it... but you do NOT take any flack any more.

Grrrrrrr........ the Scottish tiger has her dander up at this one. My ex-husband was abusive. And my step father. OMG... Questy (and anyone else that it may pertain to)... DON'T let anyone tear you down. Seriously. It's their own short comings (pun intended) you're seeing in action there, not your own. That kind of behaviour reflects on themselves, not you.

As female addicts (Mollers mentioned it earlier), we tend to beat ourselves up something rotten... and because of that we take it as read thaat we deserve to be beaten up by others. Not so. We NEVER deserve that...

Forgot to say... dinner last night went really well... both guests suitably impressed with yer Scottish wan's culinary expertise. The Wan Indoors was chuffed to wee mint balls (Jacks!) that I pulled the stops out and made a big fuss of them. And me... it felt great to be present and happy and make others happy. ) And we had a great chat. They are very clever older people and I learned a few things! ) All in all, a good time had by all concerned. I made a herb crusted rack of lamb in the end... )

We have a beach... and good weather too... but you will not catch me on it! lol... I need my heid examined and I need to go the the bloomin' beach more... even if it's not as pretty as Tipps's beach. Talking to the people last night, I better enjoy it all while I can...

oh man it's only a bit of fun and an addiction far less painful long term than alcohol....
