    Tips to fight depression

Sober, I know you are trying to help but I find that attitude offensive. Depression is crippling and one cannot just snap out of it. It's not a choice. Who the f*ck would choose this?
Well it's all right now. I've learned my lesson well. You see you can't please everyone, so you've got to please yourself.

I know sober. Like I said - I know you are trying to help.

I think there is a difference between "getting depressed" and "being depressed". I think anyone can get depressed about certain life experiences. It's a bit of a pity party that everyone should be allowed to have occasionally.

Being depressed is another matter. It's denying oneself essential care because there is no point in taking care of oneself. It's a Herculean effort to shower and change out of my pajamas after being in them for 3 days. It's too much effort to eat. All I want to do is go back to bed. I don't care what happens to me. I just don't care. I don't care. dead inside.

Pauly - are you taking supplements? They help me when I remember to take them. Just regular vitamins...

I'm embarrassed when my husband comes home and, for the third day in a row, I'm still in my pajamas. When I haven't brushed my teeth or showered. When I can't do normal self-care and I can't maintain the household.
