        Army Thread 13/04/2013

Happy Saturday all It's a beautiful morning here in Philly - a little chilly, but the rain finally stopped. We went from 85 degrees to 45 degrees in one day. My sinuses don't know what the hell to do! Tips, sorry about the abcess! That's terrible. Hope the meds help - sending you healing thoughts! I certainly wish I was in the same time zone as most of you - by the time I post every day most of you are well into your day!

I saw my eldest's facebook status this morning - went from being in a relationship to single. Oh boy. We just bought her plane tickets to fly out to see the boy this summer. Non-refundable. Hoping that we can change the location. It was a long distance relationship, and she is so busy with her school and her theatre, I had a feeling that it would be tough. It's never fun - the long distance thing. Never worked for me. Funny thing though - when I ws still drinking, I would have totally obsessed about this and tried to fix everything. I actually have a sense of calm about this, and in my heart feel like maybe this was for the better. Some of you saw my FB post this morning that I had dreamt that I had acheived inner peace, then woke up pissed off because I could not remember how I achieved it. It is true! I have really been working on calming myself, breathing, eating right, attempting to meditate (with my brain, virtually impossible). I have been watching a channel they have here in the states Veria Living that has alot of alternative healing programs. Very helpful. We'll see how this all works out for her. Hopefully I can speak to her today, if not, we go see her matinee tomorrow and the family will take her out for birthday sushi Sushi makes everything better..lol

Anyway, sorry for being so chatty this morning! Hope you are all well. Cybe smoochies to you all.

        Love Waggy

Hi all! Waggy - I didn't know you were in Philly. I'm just down the turnpike an hour or so - near Lancaster. There's another member around Oxford, too.

I agree on the Sushi - a little wasabi cures all.
Well it's all right now. I've learned my lesson well. You see you can't please everyone, so you've got to please yourself.

Very cool! I love it up that way. So serene. So opposite of the hood here in Philly :H Actually our neighborhood has become pretty gentrified. Lots of characters nowadays. I really love it. But I really want a house with a wraparound porch and a field full of cows

Hope ye all are well xx Glad to see you back Jackie

Been working flat out past few days, late shift today so thankfully got a wee lie-in.

Last night we had night out for one of the girls retiring. Lovely dinner and a real good laugh with everyone letting their hair down. First time i've been out with them all since quitting and got quite an inquisition about not drinking. Have to admit there were a few times i looked at the wine and thought how nice it would be to have a few. Suprised myself though in that I still was able to have a laugh and carry-on as old and was so chuffed to be able to speak and walk (not fall over as was my infamous party trick!) and drive home after it all No hangover today too :yay:

Tink our Arsey running the marathon today so hope Im not too late to wish good luck xx
Very late check in. Just to let you know RC,s marathon not until tomorrow.

Took my 10 year grandaughter to our local Parkrun. She has never run more than half a mile and managed the whole thing(5k).

Well done on last night Sweetie

                  Hi anon

I really was intending to run today but it's absolutely lashing down outside. Still I have skated for a hour, and while it's not as energetic as running it still uses leg muscles and burns calories?

I dunno, I think it's more toning than fat burning, but you have to keep your legs bent so you get fantastic thigh muscles.....

                              Evening all,

Nice bit of a shop today. Think I've picked my phone but they don't have pink just red. It's a Samsung something or other with lots of doodas and thingy thangies and I likes it.

2 episodes of Dr Who, bit of a nanna nap and Mr JC making dinner.
