      Evening all,

Isn't it dreadful, Molls that we got used to bomb threats. I can remember my friend going to a meeting in Northern Ireland and she wondered why everybody looked under the table and their chairs before they sat down. So she asked and they just said casually just looking for any 'devices'.

Anyway had to do the long nap thing as I honestly didn't know how to deal with how I felt.

All I can say to our friends across the pond. Try not to live in fear.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

I've been through projects like that many a time *sigh*... first you think of something you want to improve, the initial "cost" is a little more than you expected, but.. not a big deal. THEN comes all the "little" extras which aren't so little! :H

I'm not sure. I've done it for years. When Mr JC got redundant just after we married I took to me bed for 24 hours. Gawd I'm such a drama queen.

That's the key JC. I tell my kids that. There are far more good people than bad in the world. We can only do our best, be good and kind people and pray. I have to say that in reading the news, it seems like they were bombs loaded with nails, ball bearings, metal pieces...kind of a crudly made bomb. Reminds me of Timothy McVeigh who bombed the building in Oklahoma years ago. Jesus we have crazy people over here. I was talking to my sister about Norther Ireland and thought, how the hell can you live your life like that. I would go crazy. Sigh. Who really knows. I can speculate till the cows come home. I hope someone is caught. Soon.

Yeah, it's a strange one Waggie, but we nearly became blase about the bombings in Ireland - I remember as a schoolgirl literally missing the Dublin bombings by about 2 mins on Talbot St. was walking down the street to get the train.... it was verging on commonplace here - sad - very sad. And of course the mainland of Britain had horrendous atrocities visited on them too -
Molls - we probably passed each other that day back in 1974 (?) i was coming out of the Gas Company on D'Olier street & walked down O'Connell street when the ground shook.

Used to meet in Earl mooney Pub and drink COFFEE which you got with dollop of cream on top and 2 Polo biscuits ! The height of sophistication :H

We were heading that way that day - down O'Connell Street - past Talbot Street - past Parnell Street both just about to be hit by bombs - there was a bus strike and we had to hitchhike home - so innocent :upset:
