    I feel,weird....

Had a hang over and I was the only one not drinking red wine...

Could be meds withdrawal. Need to keep an eye on me for a few days. Sorry for not being around, in advance...
I have a drink problem, I have been AF since 15 March 2011 and I am working hard to stay that way

They don't call me Pingu Purple Pants for nothing....

You definitely should be proud of yourself, inchy.

oh and my mums appointment was a waste of time, the man actually asked her 'what causes your mood swings' the answer to which is 'bipolar you bloody moron'. Useless man, actually made us laugh, but can't lie that its disappointing we still can't get her help.
Hope you can eventually get the right kind of help for your mum. Keep at it. And don't forget to make that phone call on Wednesday. We will be checking up on you!

And whizzy, if you check in, best of luck for tomorrow. Think the weather will be quite good for you.

Mmm...that sounds like a reason to stay close to the boards, not stay away, pingu. But yes, either way, keep an eye on you. :l

Hiya molly Glad you had a nice day. Was wondering...how are the people you were at rehab with doing? Have there been many relapses or are they all still sober?

mollyka;1494781 wrote: Funny you should say that Reccie - Roomie and I were just talking about that. There's lots of peeps we don't know about - we wouldn't have been that close to them so wouldn't know one way or the other. It was a rolling 28 days, so you really only became very close to the people who started in around the same time as yourself. One of my bessie mates down there relapsed straight away - I used to talk to him about 3-4 hours a day - and I hadn't a CLUE - it upset me at the time. I know of 3 other relapsers - but tbh - the only ones I KNOW of that haven't are me and my roomie - I'm quite sure there's more tho
We have a Medallion Day the first Sunday in July - it's to celebrate one years sobriety - we weren't a year last July so ours is this year - it'll be very interesting to see who turns up. I'm guessing in my 'group' of about 12, there's prolly definitely 4 of us on the straight and narrow - I'd be amazed if 2 I can think of have relapsed.
If you stay sober for over 2 years apparently the odds go up significantly then. Really looking forward to that day - they do an outdoor bbq sort of thing and strawberries and cream and everyone gets all dressed up - it'll be brilliant!!
Lets face it tho - the statistics for people staying sober are pretty grim - be it in rehab, AA, mwo - but it's definitely a case of the longer you are, the more likely you will stay that way - so I is hangin in for the 2 years anyhows!!!
Love the idea of the Medallion Day molly. I guess anyone who makes it to one year deserves some kind of big celebration and even more so after two years. Really hope you'll make it to the bbq. It is a bit dispiriting though, to see all those relapses. The one place that does seem to have a fairly decent track record is the army, so I'll be staying here, even if I do let the side down.

When I was having a quick glance back I thought the medallions you were talking about were medallions of beef. Gawd I'm obsessed with food.

Oh and Reccybear, look how far you've come since your first post. It's not a race.

Pings, is this how you felt the last time you gave the ADs the elbow?

I did some vigorous housework. That counts as exercise at Slimming World.

Noooooooooooooo. Pushing the Dyson (or should I call it a no bag suction device) up and down and I had to empty it.

Oh and I broke a nail cleaning the kitchen tops I was that vigorous.

                        Mr JC did the washing.

3 slices sponge cake ( 'ol cheap crap from Lidl that I'd normally turn me nose up at )

She's been uprooted for a makeover - and now the Northsiders are up in arms and want her moved to Moore Street :H
