    Army Thread Sunday 21st April

    Morning sleepyheads

Lovely morning outside so far. My plans for the day are Sainsbury's, then follow whizzy's progress in the London Marathon , make something nice for lunch, follow the footy at 4pm, and then I'll prolly fall into a deep sleep as it's been another all-nighter.

Have a great day, whatever your plans are, especially whizzy.

Best of luck, Mrs. A! Will be rooting for you.

        Morning Reccie and Foxy.

Luckily I don't have much that I HAVE to do, so the day is pretty much my own.

I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person.

Bhoggo: below is a link to the red onion marmalade recipe I used:

Red Onion Marmalade with Balsamic Vinegar

I adjusted it slightly though: reduced the red wine vinegar a bit and added more balsamic. Used mostly white granulated sugar and only about a 1/4 brown sugar. Plus added some freshly ground whole cloves for a slightly spicy undertone. I tripled the amounts and just used a larger pot and increased the cooking times.

You'll need to convert to American measurements, but that's easy enough.

It's yummy, Pinky. I like using it when I make stuffed brown mushrooms with blue cheese. You can also add it to stews and gravy to give it depth of flavour.

                              :hallo: JC

The family's doing fine, thanks for asking Pinky. At this precise moment they're all either still asleep (the cubs) or dozing again (Mrs. T). Mum is slowly unpacking her suitcase. She's looking relaxed after her visit with her mate.
