One Step at a Time - May 2013

    Hi MWO friends,
I am home today with my daughter. On Tuesday her best friend attempted suicide. She fell into a coma. She woke up about an hour ago, so now they will see if her brain is injured. My daughter has taken this VERY hard. My lovely boss at work won't even acknowledge me and my absence but at this point I really don't care. Will check in later...love you guys!
:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

Believe in yourself. You are stronger than you think.

It's a world where even us adults can feel overwhelmed and unsettled often, can only imagine what a young person is feeling in the world these days. Doubt, fear, no way out, definitely not feeling in control.

            Prayers to everyone affected K9.

Agreed, allswell. We think they have all the gigabytes, pixels, and social messaging under control, but they're under attack, and don't know it. Add family and friend dynamics in the mix, and life must seem unmanageable.:upset:

K9, I empathize with all of you. May your daughter, and her friend, know peace. I'm so glad you're there for Sierra.:l to all of you.

Juja - I have been wanting to answer your question all day. - I take Levothyroxine for my thyroid. I never remember if I'm Hypo or Hyper but I think I'm Hypothyroid. I never had an issue with the AB and my Doctor or Pharmacist never mentioned an interaction. I'm glad that you are playing it safe and making sure before you start taking the AB. :l

Lots of love & hugs to everyone. By the time, I finish with all my 'crap' at night :H, I don't get a chance to post. I will do better I promise. :h

Juja, I agree, many of our kids are lossed. I work with youth that have massive behavioral problems. Many have been abused and are drug addicts. I have a 13 yo GS who is heavily into substance abuse. It is frightening!

K9 wow I read what you wrote and I have a 16 year old son and went over to him and gave him a huge hug and told him that I love him.
Kinda makes other things kinda moot this morning.

Thank you, Nora! I have been researching that constantly, and can't find a thing anywhere about the contraindication between the two, even tho the info says not to take them together.
I hope to get an appt with my dr for Monday. I want to get off this merry-go-round, and can't do it on my own.
                          Hugs to everyone today.

I couldn't agree more with this FT!!! The day before this happened my daughter was having "boy" problems, and then after this happened, it makes you realize how small these other things are.

The good news is her friend came out of the coma and seems to be all there mentally and physically. Now it will just be a long, hard road trying to resolve all of these very serious issues.

I feel pooped. Mental stress can bring you down harder than physical illness.
