Had a bit of a shocker of a day yesterday - there's too much and it's too boring to regale you all with it here -- but in a nutshell, ye know I've been very worried bout Joey - well something possessed me to go to a different AA meeting yesterday and met Joey's pals daddy at it. It's the pal that Joey is more or less living with these days. So - nutshell - yeah???!! The pal is being evicted by the Dad and not being taken in at home so he's to all intents and purposes homeless, he's also been fired from his job by the Dad and he wants him to go into rehab. Now I'm sad for the young lad of course, but my main concern is Joey is obviously involved in the same behaviours --- CLICK - the 'programme' (as they called it in my treatment centre) really needed tapping into. Joe was working so I rang Simon straight away and he came down and talked me through it.
We now have a vague plan of action and my heads alright - but 'powerlessness' takes on a whole new meaning when it comes to 18 yr olds!!!
Enough of that --- I've a battery ordered for this yoke, but I need to investigate a charger as well --- seems to be working now with a barricade of cushions and jars of nail polish

Molls, love. I drank through my two's teenage years and I'll be honest there was some impact but they did see I tried, and tried and tried to get well. Mebbees I was too honest with them at times.
Yep it might just scare the bejaysus out of him.

If it's any consolation Young Satz was found out exactly same way.
Up in neighbours annexe up to all sorts. Threats were made by the Dad & the merry band of men were disbanded .
Because is was away from us we didn't know the real extent of it till the neighbours told us one night.
Once found out and their lair off bounds they just seem to think it was too much hassle .....
hope this is the same for your Joey :l

Joey SEEMS fine, and both Simon and Jilly think he's just 'being a teenager' - but fuck knows what they've been up to up there - and yeah - the neighbours seem to have got involved too ---- ah there's lots more to it tbh - would be wary of posting all the gories on a public forum - but so far Joey mostly seems 'guilty by association' - but I'm not naive -- I was 18 once and there was NOTHING I wouldn't do for a kick!!!

I wanted to say right there what Jilly et al were saying but didn't like to as I don't know the full story.
He prob was involved but I'm thinking it will stop now they are 'busted'.

DO NOT blame yourself - we knew NOTHING. He left here and went off and came home at dodgy times - like 11am in the morning..... but there was always a 'story'.
We did nothing couldn't really - he was a little older - so was a bone fide adult ye know ???
but were morto when the neighbours told us his house was being used. In the pub :egad: one night.
The skids were put under them all and it fizzled out.
At heart joey sounds like a good kid - he will be ok Molls - eventually.
