Wee, I just had a helluva time withit myself. I buy a lot on ebay, but recently had ane mail address change. I could have more easily gotten in the witness protection program than figure the damn thing out. Their perference is to have it attached to your checking account. With you not being a US citizen you may need to use a c/c. But if you can use your bank they will make 2 small deposit like 8 and 4 cents in the account; you long back on and enter in the amounts they gave there by verifying your account. I hope this makes some sense. Take care Mar

Wee, I hope you got the PayPal issue worked out. PM RJ if you still cannot get it to work. Once again just the pure title of your thread made me laugh out loud. Imagine what video chat would be like? Good grief, I am going to need to pay for a hair and makeup specialist to come in before every event.............

Hi Wee, I joined paypal years ago via ebay and can use it lots of places now on www. If you are still having probs, go to ebay and sign up there, don't know why that would make a difference but it might. I signed up on Saturday and still can't get into the Private thread, maybe have to wait for Monday, has anyone else signed up this weekend and got straight in??

Hi Wee, loved the title of this thread. I joined through ebay too. That's the only way I know how but RJ can help you out.

I've joined through ebay also. I gave up my checking account to join Don't need any more credit card debt. If you want to go this way, you give your account number and they access it. (they take about $1.50 out of it and want you to verify the amount) then your in. I found it to be very helpful in my dealings on the net. You can use it on any site that deals with PayPal.....................IAD

                    PayPal

                    Hi, gang.

I think I know what's going on here.

PayPal is usually pretty seamless, but if funds are not drawn directly from an account in which they are sitting or from an associated credit card (for instance if they're pulled from a checking account), there is often a three or four day delay. It's difficult on our end because we are not even notified that a transaction has occurred until everything clears.

This drives me nuts because it assumes that fund are not necessarily forthcoming. Last week, I manually checked the PayPal account several times a day and "pre-activated" accounts because I have no doubt that anyone who signs up here is good for it. :-)

So if you've applied for a subscription using PayPal and are not immediately provided access to the new goodies, please feel free to drop me a PM and give me a swift kick. We'll get you set up.

Also, I think I understand the other problem you described: yes, there's a link hard coded into our message board's system that takes you directly to PayPal (assuming you wish to sign up for a new account). Please ignore it if you already have one--it's very confusing and I think I'll have a programmer remove that.

Sorry for any hassles. And thanks again to those who are signing up. We have some exciting things in store next week!

                    RJ
