    Army thread 12th May

Mango milkshakes and tomato chutneys... well, all sounding delicious in the army this evening.

Paws for thought... if Mangos can be both chutneys and milkshakes, can you get tomato milkshakes??

      Yo Arsey! :wavin:

Re the tomato milkshake... I'd stick some fresh basil in it and call it a chilled tomato soup instead of a milkshake.

I throb my new blender... ice cubes run in abject fear from it. It's beautious!

Today so far I've made a fresh grilled salmon, lemon and herb salad and a sesame chicken and rice salad. I'm thinking of doing either pasta or farmers market brocolli with a smoked salmon, dill and creme fraiche sauce for dinner. It's much nicer in the kitchen than the garage! :H :new:

              Massive Rant Alert

Evening all. I'm back after an odd day. Everyone really bugging me.
Have you ever got tired just listening to people moan ?- who have absolutely nothing to moan about. Had 2 today !
              # 1 is DD - always seems to be pickin , pickin and sly remarks about her friends Mam this and friends Mam that. You never ring me ..... She has actually become very needy of my attention all of a sudden.I am a very self sufficient person - can amuse myself - do not always need someone hanging around me. When the alcohol problem bacame apparent to me I set about fixing it as I have fixed everything in my life.I think this is not suiting her - I should be more needy & looking for help - oh I don't know ! Can't win !!
              FFS she is 33

Then it was up to my Mothers.
Stifiling heat - complaint after complaint -"it's freezing" "that is the most horrible day out there" la la la
Were you out - it's a bit of wind..?
              "no it's too horrible"
I then had to say - any day we wake up healthy - is a GOOD day - we could be looking at it from a feckin' hospital bed !!!!

Jazus I found myself running home to Mr S
Never going to complain about him again.
Oh maybe it's me - but I do like to look on the bright side always and felt truly depressed when I got home ! 'Cos they have NOTHING to complain about honestly compared to 'stuff' others have going on here.

              Phew !!!! that's a load off ! :sorry:

I'm not bugging you am I.

What did Mr Satz do when you flung yourself at him in relief? He must have got the shock of his life.

Honest to goodness I think kids get more needy the older they get. When they're babies a bottle and a clean nappy seems to do the trick.
