    Army Thread Sunday May 19th

Hmmm...I've just realised that my last post leads to another question...is being content the same as being happy?

    Hi foxy :hallo:

Hi Reccie yes i guess contentment is a form of happiness as its a peaceful state of mind. |i suppose if you find contentment you're on the road to happiness. Least thats just my 2 cents worth.:cents:H

molly: always considered what I did unusual because it wasnt social partying drinking, i very much preferred getting very drunk on my own. I'd like to take a gene test, i think it'd be interesting - I know my upbringing probably played a part but my behavior towards alcohol was always unusual - whether thats because i'm a bit odd though is another matter xD
I have faced it, a life wasted, and I am never going back there again

To ya'll my name is inchy. I am an alcoholic - and priority number one is making it to the end of this day AF. No excuses.

Had a little think about the contentment versus happiness thing. Maybe contentment or lack of it is the underlying state of affairs in a person's life, while happiness or unhappiness is a temporary thing? Can a person be happy all the time? For example, I'm thinking you could be generally content with your life and then be happy to be given a present or unhappy to have been burgled. Under those circumstances the happiness or unhappiness would eventually wear off. Again, I suppose those words can mean different things to different people.

All his drips and drains are out. He's sitting up in a chair and not in any pain. All is good.
My SIL, the next door neighbour and me were this aftie and Jenz was there this evening.
He's knackered though as he had a disturbed night because of obs every 10 mins........well 2 hours. Feeding well.............now he sounds like a 2 week old baby. Just as well I don't have to put him over my shoulder and burp him.

Just saw Our Whizzy's race result. God she's an inspiration that woman.

Oh dear!!! I reckon she might have to start getting used to it. Maybe you could ask bog seat man to deliver something to enable Mr JC to walk bess when he gets out of hospital? One of those motorised chair thingies, perhaps?

That's great molly. From what you said, he clearly enjoyed his stay with you, so you deserve some kind of acknowledgement for what you did. :goodjob:

You're right there about the overkill, Molls. They cannot keep shoving him off for other people to sort out. Ach it's not for me to judge but I would have thought family therapy or the like first.
