why do i feel so alone

sounds awful. I mean, I don't know how bad your drinking has been, but if you are trying to quit, that in itself is a difficult task.
I am also feeling alone but just from not having any booze and tryng to cope.

you have an upset hubby to add to the picture. his saying that he wants to throw you out isn't making the work it takes to quit any easier. stay strong and dry. much luck

why do i feel so alone

      Hello Seahorse.
I have a wife who loves me, despite my horrible behaviour at times. I am generally a happy, easy-going man. I don't need a lot to be content.
Still though, there are times when I feel lonely and upset.
One thing I've managed to work out is that getting drunk does nothing to ease the melancholy. It makes it worse, a lot worse. I end up having the blackest thoughts.
Good luck to you in whatever you decide to do.
I really hope you can find a way to happiness.

        Seahorse

        Congrats for 4 weeks af.

I can empathise with you. I have not had a drink for 12 days but neither my husband or my mother-in-law have supported me - yet they are the first one's to complain if I was to drink. I suppose they have heard it all before and I'm just going through one of those "phases" again and I feel they are waiting for me to slip up.

Also it's not fair for you hubby to threaten you with the comment of "get out of his house". That is hurtful especially as you have given up so much too. However, sit down and have a chat with him. Sometimes people have difficulty in expressing how they feel. It could be the same with him.

And I agree with Elizabeth about maintaining your interests. Don't stay in you room because this may raise questions whether your are drinking. Communication is the key here.

I wish you all the best. x
