      Watching a programme here about Breast Cancer gene.
      Frightening the shit out of me.
      My mother had both breasts removed because of cancer and my first cousin died of it at 42.
      They are saying I should be tested I think :egad:
      Then double masectomy & re-structure if positive - Jazus !

        If I had some bloomin black pudding I could actually eat it. I went and bought one Alaskan King Crab leg the other day that cost me almost $35 shock feckin horror... came home and steamed it and ate it with melted Kerrygold butter. That's the only meal I've finished in 2 weeks. Ooooh.... blaaackkkkk pudding..... *droolz* We get excellent black pudding from one of the butchers on the island... I can't wait! Less than 3 weeks now...

          Whisht! Yer getting yerself in a tizzy. Go and look up the supplements you should be taking to avoid cancer and remember that cancer is from your diet as well as genetic... :l (CoQ-10 is a must...)

            p.s. I've been watching loads of docos on Netflix about nutrition, fast food, GMO veggies and grains etc. Our diet is atrocious and that's what's causing all the diseases for the most part. I know you're very aware of all that so you have prolly kept yourself safe from getting cancer by your eating habits m'dear... :l

              I'm allergic to lobster.

              If it would put your mind at rest Satz, get the test done. I know the 2 girls next door have had it done and are all clear despite their Ma dying from BC.

                i greatly dislike the idea of lobster, i think its mean haha

                and theres been alot in the news about genes for cancers etc, I try and avoid learning too much about it if I'm honest, don't wanna spend my whole life worrying
                I have faced it, a life wasted, and I am never going back there again

                  You know... I can relate to being worried about the genetics too. The reason smoking freaked me out so much is my Dad died from lung cancer at 47. I've always thought that for my body smoking was way more dangerous than drinking.

                  Yeah... like Jacks said... get the test done. Well worth it for peace of mind.

                  Inchy... I suppose it is a bit mean. I feel more empathy towards the four and two legged things we eat than I do fish and crustaceans though. (When did you change your signature?) )

                    i'll only eat barnyard animals, real basics, not even duck - I'd be a veggie if I didn't love bacon so damn much xD (and a little while ago, I can't remember exactly haha)

                          I see it the opposite way Inchy... I think fish and shellfish are better for us. Nowt like a good steak though... :H
